Shot this last minute Spotlight portrait for the actor Frey Le Maistre. Spotlight is the actors bible. It is the directory for the world of Dramatic talent.
When I get the call to shoot for the NHS I jump at the chance. I love working for the NHS. I guess I just love the NHS. It’s always getting slagged off and is now facing massive cuts, so any chance to promote it in a positive way is great. This time they wanted me to shoot some positive looking portraits of staff for cancer care banners.
They wanted natural light portraits shot near windows. Typically it clouded over as I arrived and the skys went black. Rain started and didn’t stop for the rest of the day. We headed straight for the largest window in the hospital and I set up. Using what little light we had I started to shoot. I held the camera as still as possible because I was working with slow shutter speeds and managed to get some great shots of my first subject…
My Next subject was very nervous and took a while to relax but I talked to her while we worked on the shot and I got a great result..
I walk out of Charring Cross Hospital into the pouring rain but feel happy with the portraits we shot.
If you’re going to get caught with your trousers down then you best be wearing a pair of Dockers!
I spent last Saturday afternoon with Dockers at the Shoreditch Boxpark shooting their Dockers Challenge event.
if you could leap into their Dockers London red telephone box and change faster than Superman (that is less than ten seconds) your would win the trousers that you had just put on. Easy! Some may say, but not always possible.
And of course you had an audience, with cameras at the ready!
DJ Steve Harris turned up from XFM to spin some tunz.
What’s this guy looking so pleased about? Success, and a fully fledged 6 pack! A winner, one of many to come.
Some were less than keen to leave their new found home.
Thanks to Dockers and XFM for fun, sun, and free Chinos!
Here’s are some of the shots I snapped at Kat and Ali’s big day.
