I am a lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Heriot-Watt University and have been interested in “things” robotic for as long as I can remember.  Working on Robokid has been fantastic fun and so rewarding.  I’m just developing something that I would have wanted to do when I was at primary school (rather a long time ago!!).  Working with other enthusiastic people and teachers has made it all the more exciting.

Andy is the Chief Electronics Technician in the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences at Heriot-Watt University.  He has a tremendous talent in electronic design and production and has used this magic to produce a fantastic robot kit.

Just a little bit shy!

Tracy is an ex graduate of electronic engineering at Heriot-Watt University an worked for one of our lead sponsors - Freescale.  She had left Freescale to have a family but heard about Robokid through my contact at Freescale (her husband!) and contacted me to get involved.  Tracy brought a fresh perspective to the project and was instrumental in helping to develop the class activities and the video material.  She has now retrained as a primary school teacher and hopes to be able to use projects such as Robokid to enthuse the current pupils in science and technology.

Peter is an electronics technician in the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences at Heriot-Watt University.  Peter has enthusiastically taken on the task of preparing the robot kits for distribution to schools.  This is a big task when dealing with towards 100 schools from all over Scotland.
