Ruth Crisler, CPDT-KA
Ruth Crisler has been working with dogs and horses in Chicago since 1991 and training dogs professionally in Chicago since 1998. She is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (Knowledge Assessed), AKC Canine Good Citizen Test Evaluator, Professional Member of the International Association of Canine Professionals, and Supporting Member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. She has competed in AKC Rally and Obedience with her adopted Labrador Retriever Olive Oyl, and has provided dog training support to Rottweiler, Pit Bull, English Bulldog and Dogo Argentino rescue groups. She believes that different dogs require different approaches and that the best tools a trainer can posess are experience and an open mind.

I would love the opportunity to e-mail you about an event that’s coming up in Chicago! Pinups for Pitbulls will be hosting a fundraiser at the Cobra Lounge on Saturday, May 15 that will promote responsible pitbull ownership in Chicago and beyond! Pinups for Pitbulls is a non-profit that works year-round to change the public perception of bully breeds and secure financial help for homeless pitbulls across the map. The national non-profit couples 1950s pinup culture with pitbull advocacy. In 2009 they raised more than $20,000, all of which was donated to pitbull-friendly rescues and individual bullies in need across the United States.
I know that you’ve done some awesome work with bully breeds and other “aggressive” breeds, and we’d love your support at this event. It’ll be a night full of fun, music, burlesque performances and bully breed education. Pinups for Pitbulls’ popular yearly calendar will be for sale on site and gifts will be raffled off to attendees.
Little Darling, Pinup for Pitbulls’ Founder, would love to chat with you about the event and her role within the organization.
