Vintage Books as Wedding Invitations

image

These are some kick ass wedding invitations I saw on GreenWeddingShoes. The bride, Jessica Claire is a leading wedding photographer in our country… (seriously check out her photography after you look at these invitations) so she knows that the details make the difference.

Jessica describes her wedding as “a vintage, 1920’s London sort of vibe, but it will also have an upscale, elegant, sophisticated twist.”

Kari Dyas brought this theme to life with vintage book wedding invitations. The books (chosen for color cover, title, thickness or inside pattern) were purchased at old bookstores then hollowed out by hand. Encased in each book were letterpress invitations embellished with an antique button and held in with a grey grosgrain ribbon held together with a copper wax seal. On the inside cover a thick copper paper pocket holds a map, list of events, response cards and envelopes.

This is sure to be an invitation that people save.
