Ticket Numbering, Books and Tickets per Book
Select Ticket starting number in the From Number dropdown.
Select the number of books to print from the Books dropdown and Tickets per book from Tickets/Book dropdown. The total number of tickets, calculated from selected books and Tickets/Book is displayed, with total pages (including cover pages) needed to produce the tickets. The From and To numbers are set so the pages (and tickets) can be ordered correctly for cutting into books with consecutive ticket numbers. If you can't get the exact end ticket number required, just select the nearest higher number, and only print required number form the print file. Right click either Stub or Ticket Number for menu to set ticket number zero padding style. eg 001, 0001, 00001.
We recommend you create a print file (the default) and then print the tickets in batches from this saved file,
so make sure you include all the tickets needed in this selection.
This will only create the Print File, and will not go directly to the printer.
It's also a good idea to create your print file with more Tickets (more Books) than you initially think you'll need. You can then easily print more Tickets if needed later, without having to re-create the print file with extra Books. If you need a large number of tickets, consider creating multiple (consecutive) print files. Then you can delegate files to different people to print in batches. If you're using Windows 10 and the print file (.XPS) won't open, you'll need to re-install the XPS Viewer app.
With Windows 10, you can convert the XPS Print File to PDF. Open the XPS file, choose Print from the File Menu, then choose Windows Print to PDF as the Select Printer option.
