Ground Information

‘Vicarage Road’ a stadium in Watford, Hertfordshire, England, and plays home to Watford Football Club.  Saracens have agreed with Watford to be a tenant of their ground.

The Vicarage Road Stand was built in 1992/93 and cost £2.3 million to build and has a capacity of 5,800 people.

The Rookery Stand was built in 1994/95, and is the most recent built stand in the ground, and has a capacity of 6,960.  The stand cost £1.6m to build.

The Rous Stand was built in 1986 and was named after former FIFA president Sir Stanley Rous.

The Main Stand was constructed in 1922 at a cost of £7,000 and held 3,500 seats plus a standing enclosure.  In 1969 a new extension to the main stand was constructed adding approximately 1700 seats, and seats were added to the front terrace in 1982.

Bars

As part of the stadium redevelopment there is the ‘V’ Bar, situated in the upper concourse of the South Stand. Accessible to South Stand ticket holders from the time the gates open - and to supporters from all stands after the final whistle - the ‘V’ Bar has plasma screens on the walls and we’re sure will prove a popular place for supporters to meet pre-match to look ahead to the game, and afterwards, to chat about the result! A new addition for post match this season, you will be able to view the whole game again by watching the plasma screens while you drink up.

The Members’ Bar, in the Lower Rous, will operate as per last season with members - showing a current membership card - able to access the bar from approximately 15 minutes after kick off. The bar is restricted to members, who are able to bring in one guest each. Please note that due to licensing laws the Members’ Bar is only open to 18s and over.

Kiosks
There are kiosks situated in every stand serving soft and alcoholic beverages (which you can take and drink in your seat!), pies and confectionary, and Major Tom ‘rocket men’ roaming the stands with beer-filled backpacks.

South Stand ticket holders may notice that the kiosks in the lower concourse have been enlarged and the kiosk at the West end of the concourse (the side adjoining the double-tiered Rous Stand), now serves a greater range of food, including healthy options, such as jacket potatoes. There are now more till points, so the queues this year will be much shorter and you should receive a much better service all round.

Where to park on Matchdays

Please note that car parking within the immediate vicinity of the stadium is largely permit holders only and match day restrictions are in operation and rigidly enforced. For queries relating to these restrictions, please call Vinci Parking Scheme direct on 01923 244611.

We recommend that supporters park in one of the town centre car parks, a 10-15 minute walk from the stadium, all of which are well-signposted around the ground.

Gade Car Park
The Gade is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Parking through the barrier on Level 3 is charged at £3.00 all day.

Sutton Car Park
The Sutton car park is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Parking is £2.40, up to four hours.

Palace, Charter and Church Car Parks
The Palace, Charter and Church car parks are open from 7am to midnight. Parking is £2.40 up to four hours.

Supporters are advised to make sure that any car parks they use are legitimate car parks and be wary of any car parks which look like they may be illegal operations.
