Body Canvas

I am a big lover of tattoos and surprisingly don’t have any…yet.  Much like an outfit, I love seeing how people choose to express themselves using their own body as a canvas to do so. From a small phrase of words to a symbol that means something to the individual, tattoos can say so much about someone in just a few lines of ink.

For the past couple of months my best friend and I have been saying that we are going to go and get tattoos, but when it came down to it we either didn’t have the funds or something came up on the day we planned to get them done. I have an extremely active brain, I’m always coming up with new inventions and ideas, so naturally with all this time that I haven’t gotten a tattoo I’ve thought of tons of different designs that I’d want to have inked on my body. But, I also have that fear of “what if I regret this”, so I only have a few that I feel really OK with. But, I will say this: a friend of mine from college got a star tattooed on her foot with two of her friends and I said to her, “Are you sure you’re going to want that when you’re 40? Won’t you regret it?” and she said something to me that I have obviously have never forgotten and totally loved, understood, and respected, “no, I won’t regret it because it will always remind me of the good times I had when I was young”.
