New Flooring
Solid or engineered hardwood flooring is available to install in most places in your home. Installation of new flooring usually takes a day or two, depending on the size of the space.

Solid Wood Flooring
Schumacher & Co installs only the best hardwood flooring from America and Canada, including red and white oak, maple, hickory, ash, and cherry. Solid hardwood is available in different milling orientations, which feature unique grain patterns and offer varying performance goals. Stain and refinish a solid wood floor several times over their life. Installation must be made over approved wooden sub-floors above grade because solid wood floors are more sensitive to moisture. Our installation crews install solid wood floors by nailing to the sub-floor. Solid hardwood flooring is available as pre-finished or can be custom finished on site.

Engineered Hardwood Flooring 
When several hardwood layers are laminated together and topped with a veneer, this forms an engineered wood floor. You can use these anywhere in your home. Shifts in humidity are less of an issue since the layering of wood in an engineered floor reduces any expansion or contraction of the planks. Schumacher & Co. can install this type of floor over almost any subfloor, and the floor may be floated, stapled, or glued down. Look for engineered wood floors in American, European, and exotic species in a variety of colors and thicknesses.
