I am Colleen and was born/raised in Long Beach, CA. I have lived here since 1966 minus a 15 year stint of living in Las Vegas, NV. I lived in Vegas from 1993 to 2008 and as much as I loved it there – for gardening sake I am glad to be back!

I am the daughter of a professional gardener. My Dad made a living gardening in the 60’s and 70’s. I have many memories going gardening with him. I did learn a lot and what I did not learn — I call him and ask. My Dad is now 84 and living in Northern California.

I am currently unemployed as I took some time off to move back to Long Beach from Vegas and also finish college. I graduated with my MBA in August 2009 and am currently looking for work.

Lulu’s Roller Rink is a dream that was created by my Aunt Phyllis Loftesnes and is being worked on by me and other supporters. We really want to raise enough money to build a roller rink in the Long Beach area. We have a business plan and all the information ready to go we simply need investors. Lastly is my puppy Charlie. He is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and is almost two years old. He is my best friend and gardening confidant. For every 10 photos of vegetables there is one pic of my doggy.
