Bitlord(Vuze) : Torrent Client & Downloading from torrent file in Ubuntu

There are many torrent client application for Ubuntu and the one I feel best and from which the bitlord originated ( I read somewhere ) was Azureus. Now it is known as Vuze. I feel this is really cool application one could or should set it up running in Ubuntu powered machines.

To install type the following in the terminal:

saffrongeek@saffrongeek-laptop:~$ sudo apt-get install azureus

  1. You should use aptitude, not apt-get. Here is an article from 2007 that explains why. “Aptitude is the superior way to install, remove, upgrade, and otherwise administer packages on you system with apt.”
