Iran - 8 year old caught stealing bread...

Sorry everyone. This story apparently is not true and it was all staged.

An 8 year old childcaught stealing bread in a market of Iran is
punished in a public place.
His arm will be crushed and will lose its use
permanently

I have had it up to here! How can anyone have any peace in their life with all this going around? The other day someone sent me a group of pictures where a little boy was being punished for stealing. Apparently he stole some bread because he was hungry. They forced him to lie down on the ground with his arms extended and had a car cross over his arms. It results in unbearable pain, to say the least, and two broken arms in several places. His arms were crushed and shattered under the weight of the car. The pictures, carefully demonstrated his ordeal as the car got closer and finally passed over his hands. No human being should endure this kind of savagery. He was no older than 8 or 9. What is wrong with these ignorant savages? What kind of God promotes this barbarism? This story (email) was sent to me a couple of weeks ago and I still have nightmares about it. My sister called me the following day and she was blaming the messenger and was subbing over the phone. At first she condemned the sender of the message asking how could anyone send or show something so obscene to another and next she condemned that Iranian regime condoning this form of medieval cruelty. I agreed. At first, I thought she was over reacting, but it’s now I who can’t erase that picture from my mind. The last time I felt this way was the result of another act by this same regime hanging a veiled woman from a crane in public for dealing drugs or something like that. Shame on them!

I don't want to believe this ... I just do NOT want to believe this ... this cannot happen ... please someone tell me this is just a photoshop job ...
how am I to link to this in my blog now? this is breaking my heart, and this is breaking the bubble of glass I want to make of that country of ours, in order to be able to make peace with it ... Now how am I gonna make peace? Who am I gonna make peace with? Why is everyone so calm? The child so placid? Who is filming this? What kind of perverts live in that country? And what are we doing here in the peace of our western security? sorry Bijan, I came to welcome you to my blog, and now this post has totally disillusioned me ...

I would like to identify the source, and I like to know if any of the human rights NGOs in Iran have stumbled and reported about this.

I will keep you posted if I figure out something.

This may be just a street stunt! People do make money by putting up these shows.
see an interesting blog about this. 333 responses! Disinformation on Muslims seem to sell well.

I feel a bit better now!

Naj, It crossed my mind that it might be fake too, but wasn't sure. I'm still not convinced either way. I wouldn't put is past them! Thank you for researching it though. Also, did you notice that most responses were from the same sources (AtlaShrugged & Murqtaad, Roger, & etc.?)

So I cried for nothing.

I felt my stomach turning... THANK YOU naj, for clarifying. After I calmed down a bit and stopped cursing... I realized that although nothing surprises me anymore, I strongly believe that this was "marrekeh giri" that was explained for two reasons: (1) Based on my extensive study on Islam, boys until the age of 15 can not commit crime because they lack intent, therefore, I doubt this will be punishment. (2) Notice the red towel under the boys arm. If the bastards really wanted "punish" him and have his arms broken, then why the towel??
This is unfortunate, even if it is really "marekeh giri" because it is clearly child abuse... which is among those laws that Iran does not have!

Thanks to Naj & also my sister who found 2 more internet citings about this STUNT. I was going to apologize for posting and upsetting some people, but I’m glad now that it turned out (appears) to be a hoax, although, in away, it borders child abuse. Here are two additional sites: http://www.snopes.com/photos/gruesome/crushboy.asp and http://forums.randi.org/archive/index.php/t-46870.html So, I’ll leave it at that. Also, there is no proof that it happened in Iran either.

abdulkareem: Thanks for commenting ;) This is such an old post, 12 months ago! You're correct, it it's a stunt. We (I and others) discovered that too and it's refelcted on the comments above.

i enhanced the photos and you can easily see that the car/truck is on a jack stand and there is someone standing where the engine should be. the "A" frame of the car is tilted .. that indicates the car is jacked up.. i can provide those enhanced photos if needed .. now i have found a site that explains this ..

you know the real crime is the person that created the email in such a way that it insites hate .. and lots of it ... i still have people believing this email . they are sooooo angry .. even though its proven a hoax .. that author is guilty of a hate crime in my opinion .. there is enough real evil .. we dont need someone to make it worse .. maybe if we get mad enough we will do something about these jerks

The pictures sent in this message clearly suggest that it is a stunt which was carried out by a child with announcement going on and if you see the child is laying in front of the vehicle calmly before it started to roll over it and also there are padding under the arm of the boy.

It is evident that there are people who are trying to portray a bad picture of Islam in the heart of the people, trying to take away the focus of the atrocities carried out by Israel in Palestine.

Guys, the pictures are fake! It is from a street magician. Look at the second from the end picture which shows the car wheel to lift without the towel underneeth to be pressed as it would if the lorry would go over it. Also in the first picture the man is having a microphone to make the show.
The decision is yours

I got this email AND this is a complete hoax, the man is doing a street magic show for money, sadly the man is forcing the boy to let his arm run over by a car :(

PLEASE people, do some reasearch first before you believe on something you just read, heard or watched!
