Twelve years ago in 1997 the Sandtoft Miniature Railway Group received a second award, the annual Mike Dare Trophy for the most outstanding work and contribution to the museum between 1996 - 1997. In the photograph above guest awards presenter  Dr Bob Tebb (First Bus) hands over the trophy to myself Bob Ashton representing the Sandtoft Miniature Railway Group on Sunday 27th July. The trophy on the left is the one received at the end of the 12 month period when the original was handed back.
Our group of volunteer members can look back with great pride at what we achieved in those years we operated the miniature railway at Sandtoft.
