The stone colour varies and i have noticed veining and small marks?
Natural stone is 150 million years old, formed under the sea bed. The small marks are fossilised seashells and veins are calcite crystals. Together the seashells and veins give the stone character.

Can natural stone be used for all types of fire?
All our stone fireplaces are suitable for solid fuel, gas and electric fires.

What are slips?
Slips are used to cover the opening of the fire surround and the fire opening. Slips are sometimes refereed to as back panels.

can i clean my stone fireplace?
Bath stone can be cleaned using a damp sponge

What if my room needs a larger or smaller surround?
Stone art fireplaces make all its surrounds bespoke to suit your room size. We offer a free local no obligation measuring service.
