ellesse pop-up shop, Redchurch street, London

Famous Italian sports wear brand ellesse re-enter the fashion arena with an impressive concept store, or more commonly known as a pop-up shop (with coffee!), opening in East London tomorrow.

The pop-up shop can be found on Redchurch Street in east london, and will celebrate the brand’s rich sporting history over a six week period. Each week will see ellesse feature some of the key sports that made the ellesse logo famous, such as ski, tennis, running and skateboarding. With each new sport and with each new week, a concession will set up shop along side ellesse to celebrate all things unique and creative from the UK, these include concessions from Tokyo Bikes, Wah Nails, Zone7style, Jewell Heritage and Copson Street. Sounds like this pop-up will be worth a few trips, as not only will the concessions be changing but also the stock, which will be added daily – rumor has it that even some ellesse x Wood Wood collab items will be stocked there. Don’t sleep people.. I for one will be in attendance to pick up a bargain or two and sup some coffee..

I’m sure plenty of the 30 something ex-bboys like myself will fondly remember wearing the ellesse logo on their left breast back in the day.. ! a trip down memory lane beckons.

And with forthcoming projects in the pipe line with such notable names as Collete (Paris) and SNS (Stockholm) summer 2011 sound slike a good time to get back on ellesse.
