STOTT Pilates

What is STOTT Pilates?

STOTT PILATES is a mind-body exercise programme which has been developed from the essence and principles of the late Joseph H. Pilates work by incorporating modern exercise science and rehabilitation principles.

The aim of STOTT PILATES is to obtain optimal musculoskeletal performance. STOTT PILATES helps to restore the natural curves of the spine, relieve tension and enhance self confidence.

We will work through a warm up, followed by a balanced sequence of mat based exercises involving flexion, extension, and lateral flexion of the spine, all incorporating the 5 basic principles.

The result of which is a balanced and aligned body that looks fit, feels revitalised and moves with ease. Don’t be put off pilates because you have no prior experience. Pilates is for everyone of any age or fitness level. So come and try it for yourself.

What can STOTT Pilates do for me?

When will I start to see and feel a change in my body?

“Patience and persistence are vital qualities in the ultimate successful accomplishment of any worthwhile endeavour” – Joseph H. Pilates.

It will take just one session to fully understand the five basic principles applied in my STOTT PILATES method of teaching. It can take up to five sessions to then learn the repertoire of exercises whilst applying the principles. During these five sessions you will really start to feel the difference.

As you then advance in your knowledge and experience you will then start to really see the difference.
I often describe to my clients its like toning from the inside out! As with all aspects of leading a full and healthy lifestyle, just as you would with your diet and nutrition, or other forms of exercise, pilates needs to become a part of your daily or weekly routine to continue to gain the real benefits from it.
