CHOCOLATE SANDWICH RECIPE

CHOCOLATE SANDWICH RECIPE

Here’s a tasty treat.  I’ve decided to share my recipe for a chocolate sandwich.  Don’t try this if you are limiting your sugar or fat intake, or trying to stay healthy.  Take four slices of bread, good stone-ground, organic bread.  On the first slice, spread a glob of peanut butter; on the second slice, fruit jam; on the third slice, honey.  Put two small chocolate bars onto the fourth slice and set it in your warming oven, along with a sliced up banana.  Heat until the chocolate melts, maybe ten minutes.  (I won’t have a microwave oven in my home, so I can’t tell you the timing for that.)  Spread the chocolate on the slice and assemble with the banana pieces and the other bread slices in some fashion that seems reasonable to you.  You can substitute raw tomato for the cooked banana.  Enjoy!

Ohhhh thankyou for leaving me this recipe!  Sounds absolutely decatent.  Throw in a marshmallow over a campfire and……shmores? many possibilites! I am hungry all of a sudden.  I made that peanutbutter pie yesterday for the 4th time in a few months, my family loves it.

Take care and thanks again.  Patricia

Peanut butter is good with white salad dressing, not mayo with lemon.  When I was a child, my grandma made peanut butter with whipped Burleson’s Honey.  It was so good!                        hugs, easygoingcountrylady

Wow, that sounds very interesting !! I don’t know about tomato for the banana though ???? tomatoes, chocolate and PB ??
I don’t think so…….But then have you ever enjoyed the delicious delights of a peanutbutter and dill pickle sandwich ??

You know, this could be a healthy sandwich, with a few substitutions, to make a bit of moderation.  One piece of whole grain bread, tea spoon of sugarless jam, tablespoon of natural peanut butter, half a cut up banana, drizzle of honey, 70-80%  dark chocolate melted ahead of time (your choice of amount…half bar maybe), eaten in open-face manner.  I can’t have much sugar so I improvise BIG TIME!  Really enjoyed the recipe and whole idea of it, including the clever way you presented the recipe!
