Busy weekend last weekend - on Friday myself, Voros and Kadri attended the CLA Game fair at Blenheim. Saturday we had the pups birthday BBQ party (had interesting weather for that)

L-R: Meghan, Crosby, Ted, Gretzky, Kadri, Brodeur, Voros, Leica, Tuzzi, Nessa and Kadir

On Sunday we were at Andover obedience show - Voros came 5th in B but silly me forgot to book Kadri in for her class but the judge very kindly let us do a training round. Hopefully that will have a benefit for this coming weekend.

We have a bust few weeks ahead of us with shows so will try and keep up to date ;-)

14/7/14

Happy 1st Birthday to the Tollerice B litter - Flynn, Kadir, Toby, Tuzzi, Leica, Ally and Nessa.

13/7/14

Lovely, hot weekend of obedience. On Saturday, Kadri came 6th in Novice Bitch and Voros did his stays and we trained his B. On Sunday Kadri again came 6th in Novice Bitch and Voros again did all his stays. He came 6th in A Dog.

29/6/14

Windsor Championship Show had some good Tollerice success:

 - Kadir was 1st in Puppy Dog so has qualified for Crufts 2015.

- Crosby was 3rd in Post Graduate Dog so has qualified for Crufts 2015

- Tuzzi was 4th in Good Citizen Dog/Bitch, 3rd in Puppy Bitch (Crufts qualifier) and 4th in Junior Bitch (previously qualified for Crufts 2015)

- Leica was 5th in both Puppy and Junior Bitch (Already qualified for Crufts 2015 at previous shows)

- Tollerice came 3rd in the Breeder in Breed class

23/6/14

Saturday 21/6/14 Kadri and Voros were at Warlingham obedience show. They both worked well in the ring but yet again stay problems. Kadri came 6th in the fun ABC class. Afterwards we had a lovely walk with Kadri's sister Jessie O. Is lovely seeing the pups so happy with their families.

Sunday 22/6/14 the whole gang went to Banbury Rally Trial, Meghan came along as well. All 4 of ours got excellent qualifications which means that now Brodeur, Voros and Kadri have the title RL1 ex (Rally Level 1 excellent) after their names. Gretzky needs just one more qualifier to get his. Meghan worked well and would have had her second qualifier except on the bons exercise something spooked her and she ran out of the ring :-( Such a shame as her owner, Martin, has worked very hard with her training.

8/6/14

Newbury Obedience show and it seemed to be a bad stay day as both Voros and Kadri broke their stays. A real shame as the actual ring work was very good (Voros would have won a B).

Tuzzi was at Three Counties Championship show and came 3rd in Puppy Bitch and 4th in Junior Bitch.

2/6/14

Wow we have had a busy weekend. It started on Friday with a trip to Southern Counties Championship show. Kadri was 2nd in Post Graduate bitch, Tuzzi was 2nd in the Good Citizen class, 1st in Puppy and Junior bitch, Best Puppy in Breed and Reserve Best Bitch. Leica was 2nd in puppy and junior bitch to her sister. Tollerice won Best Breeder in Breed and we then went and won Best Breeder in Group.

Saturday we went to Basingstoke Obedience Show, Voros fell over in his stays (again) but his ring work was fabulous. Hopefully with keeping up the stay training he will get the confidence back to complete more stays at the shows as when he does them he is in the cards. Kadri was fabulous in her novice round and came 2nd (I lost her first place - silly handler).

Sunday we went to Leamington DTC's Rally Trial and did very well, all 4 had a go at Level 1 and Gretzky had a go at a Level 2 course. In level 1 part 1 Brodeur got a score of 207/210 and 2nd place, Kadri got a score of 202/210 and 5th place. In Level 1 part 2 Voros got a perfect score 210/210 and 1st place, Gretzky got a score of 204/210 and 5th place. In Level 2 part 2 Gretzky got a score of 207/210 and 3rd place. This gives them all excellent qualifying scores and they all need one more qualifying score to gain their Rally Level 1 (RL1) titles. Meghan had a go as well but unfortunately was very distracted so ended up with a non qualifying score. I am sure she will get a qualifying score at her next rally trial at the end of June.

26/5/14

Following on from her success at Bath Champ Show Tuzzi was at Pershore Carnival Companion Dog Show and won AV Puppy and then went on to become Best Puppy in Show.

Meghan (Tollerice Antoski) was also at a fun show today and she came 2nd in Prettiest Bitch.

24/5/14

Tuzzi (Tollerice Bertuzzi) was at Bath Championship Show today, she was awarded 1st place in Puppy Bitch and 3rd place in Junior Bitch. She was then awarded Best Puppy in Breed - way to go Kate and Tuzzi.

17/5/14

Redditch Open Breed Show - Kadri was 2nd in the Post Graduate class and Tuzzi (Tollerice Bertuzzi) came 1st in the Junior class and was also awarded Best Puppy and Best of Breed. In the Gundog Group Tuzzi was shortlisted was not placed. She wasn't placed in the Puppy Group either.

The same day, Ally (Tollerice Belak Ally) in Germany was at a show and she was awarded an excellent classification (the top classification) and placed 2nd in the Youth class and also Reserve Anw.JugCh.VDH/Reserve Anw.JugCH CAC(DRC). The judge wrote this about Ally - "Very good construct young bitch; harmoniously general outline; very good feminnine head; straight, firm back; appropriate for age formed chest; very good angulations; liquid motions; friendly being"(translated by Ally's owner)

11/5/14

Gravesend and Medway Open Breed Show - Kadri was 2nd in the Open class. Flynn (Tollerice Bauer) had his showing debut and was a very good boy. He came 1st in Junior and was also awarded Best Puppy and Reserve Best of Breed. In the puppy group he wasn't placed and it was the same judge for the group as we had had for the class and he was very complimentary about Flynn.

10/5/14

At South Cotswold Obedience show, Voros sadly broke his A stays so we trained his B round. Kadri did well and came 4th in her novice class.

6/5/14

It was a busy bank holiday weekend. On Sunday we joined Tuzzi at a Companion Dog Show at Langford, Bristol. Tuzzi got 4th in puppy and AV Sporting. Kadri got 1st in AV Sporting, 2nd in Triers (novice) obedience and 1st in Rally. Voros broke his stays in the obedience but came 4th in the Rally. Kadri and Tuzzi went into the brace class together and came 4th. Afterwards we took the dogs for a nice run on the beach, which they enjoyed. :-)

On Monday Kadri and Voros were taking part in the Hampshire Obedience Rally as part of Newbury's team. Voros was having a very off day (most unlike him) but he was a good lad with his stays and scent. Kadri did very well (she was let down by her handler - oops), despite me she managed to come 6th in the novice class.

27/4/14

Yesterday at WELKS Champ show the Tollerice gang did well: Crosby was VHC (5th) in Post-Graduate Dog, Kadri was 2nd in Post-Graduate Bitch, Leica was 1st in Puppy Bitch, 2nd in Junior Bitch and was awarded Best Puppy in Breed, Tuzzi was 3rd in Puppy Bitch and 4th in Junior Bitch. We were also awarded Best Breeder in Breed and went on to take 2nd place in the Best Breeder in the Gundog Group.

20/4/14

At the beginning of the month (6th April) Kadri and I were at Chippenham Open Breed Show - she got a 2nd in post graduate. The following weekend we were at one of our first obedience shows of the year and even though Voros did very nice B work he broke his sit stay. Kadri worked well but now I know where the training focus with her needs to be.

Today we were at the West Country Dog Club's Open Breed Show and again Kadri got a 2nd in post graduate (was a big class with 9 entered). We are at WELKS Champ show next week along with Kadri's brother Crosby and her 2 half sisters - Tuzzi and Leica.

30/3/14

Ally (Tollerice Belak Ally) had her first show in Berlin, she was awarded 1st Place with an Very Promising classification in the Puppy class.

23/3/14

4 Tollerice dogs were at the UK Toller Club Championship Show today. Crosby was 2nd in Novice Dog, Leica was 2nd in Puppy Bitch (Crufts qualifier for 2015) and VHC (5th) in Junior Bitch. Tuzzi was 4th in Puppy Bitch and 1st in the Special Working Class so was awarded the Best Working Dog shield as well. Kadri was 4th in the Post Graduate Bitch class. So proud of all the pups they were fab :-)

15/3/14

Kadri was awarded 1st place in the Limit class at the Isle of Wight Gundog Show. Next weekend we are at the Toller club championship show, along with Tuzzi, Leica and Crosby.

9/3/14

Kadri did well at Crufts, she came 4th in the Post-Graduate class and then came 3rd in the Good Citizen class. She was handled fabulousl by our friend Julie (thank you once again).

Tuzzi was a star in the Good citizen Puppy displays held throughout the day in the Good Citizen ring as well as in the Main Arena first thing. Tuzzi also appeared in the Crufts programme on Channel 4 on the Sunday night. Well done to Kate and Tuzzi for being great ambassadors.

Tuzzi at Crufts 2014

6/3/14

At the end of February, Kadri and I went to the International show in Ghent, Belgium. She was given a Very Good classification and 4th place in the Open class.

It was Swindon's Open show on Saturday 1st March and even though Kadri didn't attend, Tuzzi from the second litter did. She won the Puppy class and was given Best Puppy. She looked great in the Puppy Group but had a naughty toller moment.

This weekend Kadri and I are at Crufts. We are in Hall 5 Ring 32 on Sunday.

19/1/14

The B litter were 6 months old on the 14th January so Tuzzi and Leica were entered into their first breed show - Manchester Championship Show held at Stafford Showground. The handlers were nervous but the 2 girls were quite chilled. They were both in the Puppy Bitch class and showed themselves well. Tuzzi came 3rd and Leica came 4th. Kadri was also entered at the show and she came 1st in Post Graduate Bitch. We also entered the breeders class (at least 3 dogs from the same breeder) and I expected it to be a bit chaotic with the sisters running round the ring together. They proved me wrong and were very well behaved. We were awarded Best Breeder in Breed and went on to the Breeders Group. We were awarded 3rd in the group. So happy that the girls did so well for their first ever show and hoping that we will see them at some more in the future.

2/1/14

We had a successful 2013 and wish everyone a Happy New Year. Hoping to have a more successful 2014.

At the end of November Voros went to his last obedience show at Newark and came away with a 3rd place in A. It gave us things to work on over the winter so next season we can come out read to storm through A and hopefully B as well.

On the 29th December Kadri and Crosby went to Yeovil Open Breed Show, Crosby came 2nd in a strong Graduate class (not bad for a dog that doesn't show) and Kadri came 3rd in a strong Open class.

31/10/13

October has been a busy month for us (apologies for no updates). At the beginning of the month (5th and 6th)we were at Plymouth Obedience weekend. Voros would have won his second novice but unfortunately broke stays both days :-( Kadri did some nice training rounds to finish off her 1st obedience season.

The following Friday (11th) Kadri was at South Wales Kennel Association Championship Show, she was in a big class and wasn't placed. On Sunday the 13th all four of them attended the first southern KC Rally competition at Royal Wootton Bassett. Gretzky was the first of them in the ring and would have had a perfect score but silly mum (me) missed out a station so he had a non qualifying score. I remembered the sign was there when I took Voros in nad he got an excellent qualifying score of 209 (out of a possible 210) and came 1st in that class. The girls were in a seperate class and both got excellent qualifying scores of 205. However I completed the course about 1/2 a second faster with Kadri which gave her 5th place but put her mum Brodeur into 6th place. Was very pleased how they did on their first rally trial. Kadri's sister Meghan was also competiting and she got a qualifying score of 179 but no place.

Saturday the 19th saw us back in Royal Wootton Bassett but this time for our clubs agility competition (an unaffiliated, independent run show). Kadri had her agility debut and considering she hasn't done any training since July she did very well. She was eliminated in the agility run, but had a whale of a time, and got 5 faults in her steeplechase run. She then took part in a game of split pairs with a lab called Chester and she went clear on her part of the course :-) . Voros again did very well as the last time he saw any agility equipment was back in April, he got 5 faults in his steeplechase run (knocked a pole), came 3rd in his agility run and came 8th in his jumping run with 5 fauts (another knocked pole). Brodeur was a star as this is her main activity with me. She came 4th in her steeplechase run, was eliminated in her agility run (someone else ran her for me), she came 3rd in the split pairs with her partner Toby. The best bit was she won the jumping class :-)

Sunday the 20th I took Voros to Newbury dog training club's Haydock Day (a day of competition for club members), he took part in the novice and A class. I was thrilled that he won the novice class (I had over motivated his retrieve which made it very messy) and then came 2nd in the A class. So even though we got quite wet it was a brilliant, relaxed day.

The following Saturday (26th) Voros went to GSD of Devon open obedience show. Thankfully he did his novice stays but then broke his A stays, I think we are going to be seriously working on this exercie over the winter. I then worked his novice round and he did very nicely so was in the lead. After a nail biting afternoon waiting for all of the dogs to work I was over the moon to see that he had won the class, this was his second open show novice which wins him out of that class. Next year will see us in classes A and B :-)

We have had Mr Green (Kadir) from the second litter back with us over the last week while his family is away on holiday. He has enjoyed having his mum and sister to play with (the boys stay out of his way).

29/9/13

At GSD Wales obedience show today Kadri had a nice training round as she has been losing confidence in the ring a little. Voros worked very well and got a 2nd in his novice class and a 6th in his A class. Next weekend is quite possibly our last obedience shows of the season so we are working towards getting that 2nd novice win.

22/9/13

Big smiles today as Voros won his first open show Novice class at BAGSD Birmingham :-)

17/9/13

Busy couple of weeks, all the pups left to go to their new homes and have settled in well. This weekend the last 2 pups left one of them Ally went on a very long journey to get to her new home in Berlin, Germany.

Saturday we went to the Isle of Wight Gundog Show where Kadri got 4th place in the Post Graduate class. We then went and caught the train to Europe to take Ally part of the way to her new family and to attend the Dutch Toller Club Championship Show on the Sunday. It was a long journey and Ally was so well behaved. Her new family met us at the hotel and Ally recognised her and was very pleased to see her. A few tears were shed as she was the last pup to leave.

Sunday we went to the Dutch toller show where I was very pleased to get a very good with Kadri and be awarded 4th place :-)

Then there was the long journery back home. Next couple of weekends we have a few obedience shows going on, will be nice to get back to them properly for the rest of the season.

2/9/13

Well the last couple of months have been very busy with the pups as well as everything else. On the 18th August I took Kadri to the Welsh Kennel Club (WKC) Championship show  she qualified for Crufts 2014 with a 3rd place in the Post Graduate class, she also got a 4th place in the Limit class (both classes had 7-8 dogs in them). On the 25th August Voros and Kadri went to Chesvale Obedience show, this was an open show but only had classes for dogs in pre-beginner to novice classes. Voros was in novice part 1 and Kadri was in novice part 2. Considering everything happening at home and not having had a lot of time to devote to their training I was very proud of how they both did. Voros came 2nd in his class, only 3/4 of a point behind the winner, and Kadri came 5th in her part.

The day after this show we had Yulia Titovets of Four Little Paws Photography do a photo shoot of the pups and adult dogs - she took beautiful photos of our dogs.

Anyway, the pups are leaving us this weekend and even though it will be sad to see them go we know they will be going to wonderful homes.

21/7/13

Took Gretzky, Voros and Kadri to Andover Open Obedience show today. Gretzky was drawn and was first in the ring, He didn't get placed but had fun which is important. Voros did a fabulous novice round but unfortunately broke his sit stay, he still ended up placed 5th in the class (would have won by a mile if he had completed his stays). He also had a go at a B round for the first time at an open show. He did everything and had fantastic heel work.  There was a bit of anticipation in the retrieve and he ended up dropping the article which cost him as well as dropping the scent cloth. He ended up 7th in the class. Kadri didn't get in the ring till later in the afternoon when is was much hotter. This didn't stop her adn she worked like a little star and had to ahve a run off for 2nd place - she won the run off :-).

14/7/13

Tollerice B Litter born in the early hours of Sunday morning. Details of this litter can be found on our Planned Litters page. Mum and pups are all doing well.

7/7/13

Great obedience weekend - Saturday was SATS champ show where Voros got a 3rd in his novice and Kadri also got a 3rd in her novice. So chuffed as that is only her second working show.

Today was Cippenham champ show and Voros went one better and got a 2nd in his novice. Kadri had a training round and Gretzky just had fun, which was lovely to see.

30/6/13

Oops been a bit bad with updates again - Beginning of June at Basingstoke Obedience show saw Voros get another 3rd place in Novice. Warlingham Show on the 22nd June saw Kadri get her first obedience rosette - 5th place in the ABC class and without the anticipation in her novice round she would have been placed there as well. Voros came 5th in his novice class at this show as well. After the show we met up with Jessie O from the first litter for a walk. She is looking very good and doing so well in her family it was lovely to see.

This weekend Voros and Kadri went to the Langley Burrell Village fete where there was a companion dog show. Kadri came 1st in her Beginners obedience class and also came 3rd in AV Gundog. Voros also came 1st in his Getting Serious obedience class and also came 4th in AV Open. Hoping that this will encourage us both to get some reds at the next couple of open obedience shows.

Last Thursday (27/6/13) Kadri and I were at Windsor Championship Breed Show. There were 77 toller entries and unfortunately Kadri was unplaced in her Post Graduate class. However Voros' uncle, Felix (Camusmor Whatadream ShCM) got his first ever CC (Challenge Certificate - first one of 3 that it takes to be a UK Champion) and also was awarded BOB. His sister Aoife (Erikachen Aoife Dearg) got her 2nd CC.

25/5/13

Aylesbury Obedience show today (this is a lovely, friendly show) and Voros was once again working novice and A. He did lovely rounds in both of his classes. In his novice class he was lying in second place most of the day (1/4 of a point behind the leading dog) during the last few dogs to work he got knocked down to 3rd place but was really pleased with his standard of work today. He would have had a run off for 3rd place in the A but his silly handler (me) forgot his stays and had taken him for a nice walk instead, oops.

17/5/13

Not updated our news for a while again (sorry) - Chesvale Obedience show on Sunday May 5th saw Voros being placed 4th in Novice. The day after we took part in the Hampshire obedience rally as part of Newbury DTS team. Voros was meant to be working novice and A but on the day there was a slight change and he ended up working A and B. Gretzky stepped in and worked in novice for the team. Gretzky had a great day and despite getting very enthusiatic (and silly) in his retrieve he came 3rd (in this class Newbury came 1st, 2nd and 3rd). Voros had a great day and ended up in a run off for 1st place in A but unfortuately wasn't quite as strong so ended up 2nd. He worked his first ever B (only just started really training the send away exercise), on the sendaway he felt he had to look for the sausage that is usually there LOL but despite this he came 6th in the class. I was chuffed to pieces with both of the boys.

29/4/13

Had Kadri's hip and elbow scores back last week, they were very good, elbows 0 and hips a total of 6 (out of 106, the lower the score the better).

14/4/13

Didn't update last week - Saturday 6/4/13 Lydiard Park UKA show; Brodeur got a 3rd in Beginners Jumping and Voros got a clear in Novice Steeplchase and a 4th in Beginners Jumping.

Sunday 7/4/13 we were booked into the second day at Lydiard Park UKA but I had also entered Kadri into Chippenham Open Breed Show, the theory being support the show and then go and do agility. However Kadri won her class and then was awarded Best of Breed (her first ever one) so we didn't get to the agility show :-)

This weekend we were at Broadlands UKA on Saturday 13/4/13, I was ring managing all day so the dogs only got a little bit of attention. Voros got 10 faults in the jumping and was eliminated in the agility. Brodeur was eliminated in the jumping but went clear in the agility (just out of the placings). This show usually holds toller classes but the weather and rings were so bad they have been postponed to later in the year at another show.

Sunday 14/4/13 was Voros' first open obedience show of the year, it was a very windy day and his pilot (me) was finding it hard to walk properly so we didn't do very well. Things can only get better :-)

24/3/13

Went to the very first Toller Club Championship show today. Kadri was in her first adult class at a champ show and she came 3rd in Graduate Bitch.

Congratulations to Voros' sister Aoife (Erikachen Aoife Dearg) for being awarded Best Bitch and winning her first CC (Championship Certificate) and her breeder/owner/handler Heather Gibson.

16/3/13

Isle of Wight Gundog Open Show today, this is a lovely friendly show. Kadri came 4th in Special Yearling and also got a 3rd in AV Junior. The Toller Club's first Championship show next weekend and Kadri's first adult classes.

9/3/13

Kadri's turn at Crufts today, she came 4th in Junior bitch and 3rd in the Good Citizen Bitch class. She was a good girl (despite having a piddle on the green carpet) and walking around a very busy show was a fabulous girl.

7/3/13

Voros was in the Western Inter-Regional team at Crufts today in the novice class, he was a very clever boy and came 2nd - very pleased. Kadri is there showing on Saturday 9/3/13

3/3/13

Keluki UKA show at Maidenhead today with Brodeur and Voros. Brodeur was eliminated in Beginners Jumping and got 5 faults in Beginners Agility but she did exceedingly well in Novice Steeplechase (1and 2) coming 2nd in each of them.

Voros had 5 faults in Beginners Jumping but went clear in the Beginners Agility and came 4th in the class.

2/3/13

At Swindon Open show today (first time holding toller classes), Kadri came 2nd in Junior and also came 4th in the AV Junior Surprise Stakes. Brodeur came 2nd in Post graduate. Tomorrow Brodeur and Voros are at an agility show.

24/2/13

Last Sunday (17/2/13) Voros and Brodeur went to a small, local agility show. They both went clear in the agility class which was great. They were both eliminated in the jumping class (pesky weaves) and then in the steeplechase class Voros knocked a pole on a very good run. Brodeur was being a little naughty with going under jumps.

Today (24/2/13) Kadri went to Mid-Western Gundog and came first in the Special Yearling class as well as 3rd in the Any Variety Gundog Crufts 2013 Qualified Junior class.

Less than 2 weeks until Crufts, don't forget Voros is there on Thursday 7th in the Obedience ring in Hall 5 and we will be there with Kadri on Gundog day (Saturday 9th)

6/1/13

Brodeur was at the UKA agility show at Cheltenham Racecourse today and managed to get a 2nd in Beginners Steeplechase 2 and a 3rd in Beginners Steeplechase 3 (I cost her 5 faults in Beginners Steeplechase 1), this means she now has enough points to progress to the next level - novice steeplechase. Really pleased with our special girl and she was complimented on her steady, calm temperament :-)

5/1/13

Kadri came 2nd in the Graduate toller class at Taunton & District Canine Assoication open show today, not bad as the 1st placed dog in her class went Best of Breed.

2/1/13

Happy New Year to everyone from Tollerice Tollers. Well last year ended well as we found out that Voros had made it into the obedience team again so he will be at Crufts in the Inter-regional obedience competition on Thursday 7th of March.

Last Sunday (30/12/12) Kadri was ar Yeovil Canine Society Open Show and against adult dogs came 3rd in the Graduate class. Nice comments from the judge who said she lost out on maturity.

16/12/12

Both Crosby and Kadri went to LKA Championship show in Birmingham. This was Crosby's first ever show and he coped very well with it but unfortunately didn't get placed. Kadri came 3rd in the junior bitch class. We are waiting to hear if Voros made it into the Western Inter-regional team for Crufts next year.

26/11/12

Busy weekend again, Kadri on Saturday was at the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club of the UK's Club show and came 3rd in Junior Bitch. Sunday both her and Voros were at an obedience show. Kadri ended up training her round but she did stunning work. Voros did well but was just out of the placings in novice and I didn't do scent with him in his A as decided to get heading home instead.

Next week we are going to be trying out for the Western Inter-Regional team for Crufts.

17/11/12

Brodeur, Voros and Kadri have had their eyes tested today and they were all clear until their next test next year.

21/10/12

Another busy weekend with the dogs. Saturday was our agility clubs show (Bincknoll Agility Club). Voros knocked a few poles and at the end of the day went clear in his jumping round to come 7th in the Large Grade 1-2 class. Brodeur had to contend with handler errors (poor girl) but I managed to get it together for her last couple of run so she went clear. Some photos have been added onto the home page that were used with the kind permission of the photographer Mike Venner - A Star Photography Studio

Sunday Kadri went to the URC (United Retriever Club) Open show and came 2nd in the junior class.

14/10/12

WOW! What a weekend we have had. On Saturday Kadri and Voros went to West of England Border Collie Club Limited obedience show - Voros won the novice class after a run off for 1st place (this meant doing the whole round again at the end of a long and wet day). However in his A which he worked just after lunch he decided sitting in mud was too much. Kadri worked an obedience round for the first time and was fabulous, just a little eager to come back on the recall so anticipated it. She had great attitude though and enjoyed herself :-)

Sunday I took Kadri to South Wales Champ show, she won the junior bitch class and went on to be awarded Reserve Best Bitch as well. So pleased and the grin will stay put for a long time :-). She also took part in a little companion show that was being run today and won both the AV (any variety) Junior and prettiest bitch classes, she then went on to get reserve best in show.

7/10/12

Had all of the first Tollerice litter together again today for the first time since they left us nearly a year ago. They are all doing really well in their homes and have trained their owners well :-)

Tollerice A Litter at a year

23/9/12

Took the boys and Kadri to Birmingham for an obedience show - Voros came 3rd in novice but trained his A as he broke his stays. Gretzky was 1st in the ring in his novice and hung on to 6th place most of the day (what a good lad). Kadri was going to go into the training ring but due to the person running it being rushed to hospital that didn't happen, instead she trained round the rings and was brilliant. In fact she has been entered in a limited obedience show to compete (no chance of progressing but will be a good experience for her for next year).

Voros' uncle Rupert was at the same show and he won his Beginners class which means that he has now qualified out of Beginners and will start next year in novice, congratuations to Rupert and his handler/owner Rachel.

18/9/12

Happy 1st Birthday to the first Tollerice litter: Tollerice Ashbee (Ted), Tollerice Arnasun (Crosby), Tollerice Aubin (Jessie O), Tollerice Ambroziak (Jessie M), Tollerice Antoski (Meghan) and Tollerice Aivazoff (Kadri). We wish them many more birthdays with their families.

17/9/12

Got back in the early hours of this morning from the Dutch Toller club show. Was a fabulous day yesterday and was brilliant meeting new and old friends. Kadri was entered in the Jeugd (youth) class for bitches between 9 and 18 months, there were 7 dogs in the class. Kadri came 2nd with a classification of excellent (only the first and second dogs got this classification, the rest of the class was classified very good). Was a lovely result to get and Kadri got some nice presents for being there. Thank you to the Dutch club for being so welcoming and accomodating.

12/9/12

Club competition night at agility and both Voros and Brodeur went clear in their classes. Voros came 2nd and Brodeur came 1st, very proud of both of them.

9/9/12

Weekend of obedience for the boys, Saturday Voros was just out of the placings in novice due to breaks in stays and Gretzky had fun. Sunday was slightly better and Voros came 6th in novice.

1/9/12

Brodeur went to her first Kennel Club run agility show - Prestbury Park Championship show - she had 2 runs, the large grade 1-3 ABC Helterskelter and large grade 1 agility. Sadly we picked up 10 faults in the agility class but she did very well in the ABC H/S class and came 10th (out of a class of nearly 140 dogs) in a time of just over 24 seconds. I hope to do more agility shows with Brodeur as she really does love this activity.

27/8/12

Took Jessie and Kadri to the West Country Dog Open Show today. Jessie came 3rd in the special yearling class and Kadri came 2nd in the Post Graduate class. Kadri then beat her sister to win Best Puppy in Breed. During the month of August Kadri has won Best Puppy in Breed 3 times.

25/8/12

At Cheltenham Obedience show today and we had a great day. Gretzky had his working head on and came 4th in his novice class. Voros did very well and came 3rd in novice and then had a run off for 1st place in his A class but he lost the red one by a whisker but still really happy as he worked brilliantly. Kadri did some very nice training round the rings again and stunned people with her attention and attitude :-) she will be ready for the ring next year I reckon the rate she is going.

19/8/12

We have just finished a full, fun packed weekend!! Saturday the boys and I went to an obedience show (our first for ages). They were both entered for the fun ABC (anything but a collie) class and did very well; Gretzky came 5th and Voros came 6th. Gretzky decided he had done enough for the day so didn't get anywhere in his novice. Voros did very well in his novice and A, he cmae 6th in A and 3rd in novice. Very pleased with their results.

Today Kadri and Jessie came with me to the WKC (Welsh Kennel Club) Championship show. Kadri came 1st in the Junior Bitch class and Jessie came 2nd. Jessie is staying with us for a couple of weeks for her holiday. She certainly remembered where she was and fitted back in with the gang and wasn't fazed by her first show experience either. That is 2 out of the first litter (Jessie and Kadri) that have now qualified for Crufts 2013 as well as their mum Brodeur.

8/8/12

Wow what a day! Went to the United Retriever Club Championship Show today and Brodeur won her post graduate class which qualified her for Crufts 2013. Kadri decided to go one better by winning the Puppy class to become Best Puppy Bitch and overall Best Puppy in Breed today. So pleased with my beautiful girls :-)

Hopefully this heralds a winning streak for the obedience as well, our next obedience competition is in a couple of weeks time.

5/8/12

At Paignton Championship show Kadri won the Puppy Bitch class and was also awarded Best Puppy In Breed. Very pleased with our gorgeous girl's results :-)

27/7/12

Well, what a wash out this summer has been for any shows haven't been to any for a couple of weeks and the last one we did we were just out of the placings again. Have just come back from a week long obedience course where Kadri and Voros both worked really well all week. No shows this weekend as it got cancelled as the venue was still a bit waterlogged despite the lovely sunny week. Kadri and I have a few breed shows coming up over the next couple of weeks.

2/7/12

Another weekend of obedience shows - Saturday at St Mellon's breed and obedience show, no placings in obedience but Kadri was awarded 3rd place in the Bred By Exhibior stakes class (missed the breed classes as was in stays at the time).

Sunday was Cippenham Obedience show at a lovely new venue. Again no places but Voros was just out of places in his novice class as he ended up 7th.

25/6/12

Had a quiet couple of weeks, Sunday was the first show for a while and no placings this week. Did however meet up with Jessie (Tollerice Aubin) on Sunday for a walk and it was lovely to see the 2 sisters having a great time together. Pictures to follow.

10/6/12

Newbury Obedience show today and Voros came 5th in his novice class. Trained his A round as he wasn't quite with it first thing in the morning.

4/6/12

Busy weekend, went to Basingstoke obedience show on Saturday but Voros was just out of the placings again. Sunday was The Toller Club of Great Britains funday up at Catton Hall, Derbyshire. It was a very wet funday this year but teh dogs throughly enjoyed themselves. Gretzky won the water retrieve challenge and Brodeur came 3rd in the steeplechase challenge. In the fun dog show Voros was 5th in Most Handsome Dog, Gretzky came 4th in Best Titbit Catcher, Kadri came 2nd in Prettiest Bitch (handled by Jonathon Smith) and she came 4th in Best Puppy. Brodeur and Kadri came 1st in the Best Brace (2 dogs that look alike). More obedience next weekend.

26/5/12

Kadri was at Bath Championship Show today, she was awarded 3rd place in the puppy bitch class and 1st place in the junior bitch class. This means she has now qualified for Crufts 2013. She also passed her Bronze Good Citizen Test at the show. Was a fabulous day for our special girl :-)

20/5/12

Took Voros, Gretzky and Kadri to a limited obedience show today. Gretzky had a fun time in the ring but no places and Kadri did a training round, she loved it :-). Voros did very well and ended up with a 6th in novice (after a run off for 4th place, he had a sneezing fit at the beginning of his run off heel work). He also ended up 4th in A, after a run off for 4th place. :-)

19/5/12

Had a mini Tollerice meet today - Ted and Crosby along with Kadri and their mum. Unfortunately Jessie O and Meghan were in season so unable to come this time.

At South Cotswold Obedience show today and Voros was awarded the judges special in his A as he had done a lovely round but messed up scent. He would have done better in his novice if his handler had managed to walk in a straight line :-) . Gretzky had a great time in his novice round, still nice to see him enjoying himself.

10/5/12

Happy 6th birthday to our Gretzky (Fallowfen Foxy Fellow at Tollerice, Beg ex)

6/5/12

Had a very busy few days at the UK Agility show at Newbury showground. On Friday I took Voros and he got eliminated in one of his steeplechase rounds and his jumping round, in the other steeplechase and agility round he picked up 5 faults in each.

Saturday Brodeur came as well. She went clear in both steeplechases and agility, she picked up 10 faults in her jumping round. Voros went clear in his jumping and one of the steeplchases but was eliminated in the other steeplchase and agility rounds.

Today we only did steeplechase runs and they were both faulted in the first one but they both went clear in the second one. Voros also came 3rd in the second steeplechase run which means he has now progressed up to the next level in the steeplechase program, he is now in the novice level :-) Gretzky also had a little play with running over micro jumps (just off the ground) in the nursery class.

All in all a good weekend after having the bad news that the obedience show we should have been attending this weekend had been cancelled.

29/4/12

Back from a very wet and windy day at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern, where we were for WELKS a breed championship show. Kadri came 4th in her puppy class and Brodeur came 5th in her post graduate class.

18/4/12

Well what a busy few days we have had. On Thursday (12/4/12) Kadri was Best Puppy in match at our ringcraft club, she was also best first round loser.

Saturday (14/4/12) Voros and Brodeur were down in Romsey for an agility show, Brodeur had a clear agility run and came 5th. In their other runs of the day faults or eliminations were collected. That day included a toller agility and jumping class which sadly we were eliminated in as I was unable to keep up with either of them so they made up their own courses.

Sunday (15/4/12) was our first obedience show of the year. Voros did a good novice round but was out of the placings, Gretzky had fun in the ring and came away with a good mark but no places. Kadri had fun going round the rings and showing off her heelwork, she won a few hearts that day.

Today we were at Windsor Gundog Society Premier Open Show where Brodeur was awarded first place in her class and both Kadri and Voros were awarded 5th place (VHC - Very Highly Commended). Kadri was also awarded Best Puppy in Breed which was brilliant. Crosby came along with his new mum to see if he would like to have a go at showing adn they both enjoyed their day so hopefully we will see them round the show rings a little bit more.

9/4/12

Easter Monday and we met up with Meghan (from Brodeur's first litter) and Gretzky's best toller friend Wilbur came along for a walk as well. Here is a photo of mum with 2 of her girls, as you can see there is a strong family resemblance.

There are also some photos of the pups at 6 months of age here

8/4/12

Today Kadri got 4th place out of 8 dogs, she was the youngest by 3 months as well. Brodeur got 3rd place out of 6 dogs. Was very pleased with both our girls.

1/4/12

An action packed weekend - Saturday we were at the UKAgility show at Lydiard Park, no clear runs or places but the dogs did well (it was the handler that got things wrong) and worked their little socks off.

Sunday was Kadri's first breed show and she got a 4th place in the Junior class. Brodeur also got a 4th place in the graduate class. Was a lovely day out with Voros' brother Gunner getting Best of Breed and being awarded 3rd place in the Gundog Group. Voros' half brother Quiver was Best Puppy and also got 3rd place in the Gundog Puppy Group :-). This was then followed by a lovely walk with most of the tollers from the show.

25/3/12

Brodeur and Voros were at a UKAgility show at Newbury today. Voros had 2 clear steeplechase rounds and ended up 4th in one of them. Brodeur did well considering she has just gone back to agility this week after being off for 4 weeks as she was in season. She picked up 5 faults in both of her rounds but was very pleased with her.

18/3/12

The puppies are now 6 months old and all are doing very well with their families.

We went to the Isle of Wight Gundog show yesterday, unfortunately Kadri was 1 day too young to compete but she came along to soak up the atmosphere. Brodeur was awarded 3rd place in the open class and Voros was awarded 4th place in the limit class.

13/3/12

Voros' round from Crufts 2012

9/3/12

Wow Voros was fab at Crufts on Thursday, he came joint 5th in the novice class of the Inter-Regional team obedience. The Western team came 5th overall. He was such a good boy both on the bench and in the ring. Have got a video which will be put on tomorrow hopefully.

His sister Aoife (Erikachen Aoife Dearg) not to be outdone by him went and got Best Bitch in the breed class today, congratulations to her and Heather for breeding such gorgeous, clever dogs.

6/3/12

Crufts starts in 2 days, Voros is all ready for his time in the obedience ring on Thursday (I just have to keep my nerves under control). As preparation for it all we attended Swindon Canine Society's open show on Saturday and Voros was awarded 4th place in the AVNSC Post Graduate class. Hopefully we will have some good news on Thursday :-)

15/2/12

Only a few weeks left till Crufts and Voros' training is still going well. Kadri is having great fun at training as well and hope you enjoy the little video of her doing her heel work.

Had a meet up with some of Voros' brothers and sisters yesterday and Kadri went along to join in as well. They both had great fun.

24/1/12

Things have been a bit quiet the last few weeks. Voros' training is going well and Crufts is only 6 weeks away. Kadri has completed her puppy course and her competitive obedience training is going extremely well.

All 4 of them came into school today with me as I was giving a talk to the reception and year 1 children about looking after animals and how to behave around dogs. They were impeccably behaved (even Kadri), very proud of them all.

23/12/11

Had some excellent news this week that Voros has been selected to work the novice class for the Western Inter-Regional Obedience Team at Crufts 2012. Am over the moon and proud of my little lad. The Inter-Regional Obedience is on Thursday 8th March in the Obedience Ring in Hall 5.

17/12/11

Kadri is now 3 months old and weighs 5.8kg. She is now able to go out for walks and went for her first one this morning. She soon got the hang of walking nicely on the lead and came back every single time she was called when she was off lead. Her training is going well and we think she is a very pretty girl.

10/11/11

Voros was at LKA Championship show yesterday, he was awarded VHC in the Good Citizen Dog Class.

7/12/11

Club competition night at the agility club tonight; Brodeur and Voros did me proud. They were both in the large class and out of 10 dogs that went clear, Brodeur came 3rd and Voros came 1st :-).

Kadri is continuing to do well, she had her first training class Monday night and was a little noisy as she wanted to be doing something the whole time. She is getting on well with Voros and her mum but is still working on getting Gretzky to like her. She has her second vaccination this week and then will be out and about a week after that.

20/11/11

The last 3 pups have now gone to their new homes. Wish all the new owners a long and happy time with the new editions to their families.

13/11/11

2 of the pups have gone to their new homes this weekend and they are settling in well. The rest go next weekend even Crosby who has found a lovely home. See the litters page for more details and photos.

6/11/11

The pups are now 7 weeks old and next week will start going to their new homes. Crosby (boy 2) is still looking for a lovely family to live out a long and happy life. See the litters page for more details and photos.

30/10/11

Pups are now 6 weeks old and are getting big. See the litters page for more details and photos. Unfortunately one of the boys (Boy 2) due to circumstances is now looking for a loving family home.

24/10/11

Pups are now 5 weeks old and are doing very well. See the litters page for more details and photos.

Voros and Brodeur have started weave training so next year will be out competing properly in agility.

Gretzky's hip scores have come back and are slightly better than I thought they would be. They have the same score on each side of 22 giving him a total score of 44. We already knew he had hip dysplasia and by keeping him active he is doing well with no need for medical intervention at this time.

16/10/11

The pups are now 4 weeks old and are eating solids well. This week they have been outside and had free time in the lounge. They have gained weight well and are thriving.

See the litters page for more details and photos.

9/10/11

The pups are 3 weeks old today and have moved, during the day into a bigger pen as well as starting the weaning process. They now have toys to interact with and having a sounds CD played to them at a very low volume.

See the litters page for more details and photos.

3/10/11

The pups were 2 weeks old yesterday and are thriving. Their eyes are open and they are finding their voices now. They are starting to be able to support their body weight more which means they are becoming quite mobile.

See the litters page for updated photos.

25/9/11

Took the boys to an obedience show in Birmingham today. Gretzky got a 5th place in A and both boys were just knocked out of the placings in novice. That was our last obedience show this year.

The puppies are doing really well and have doubled in weight in the last week.

18/9/11

Brodeur has had her puppies. We had a surprise when there was a 6th one lurking that was reluctant to come out. There are 4 girls and 2 boys. Mum and pups are doing well.

Brodeur and her new born babies 18.9.11

12/9/11

Brodeur had her final  scan today and everything is going well. Pups are due this weekend, exciting times.

5/9/11

Voros was at an agility show on Saturday, his first KC show and first actual agility course. I was really pleased that for his first show we weren't eliminated, especially as he had just learnt to weave and still needs a great deal of work in this area. He even got a clear round in the ABC Helterskelter course but unfortunately not fast enough to be placed.

Brodeur is getting quite big now and slowing down. There is less than 2 weeks to go before her pups are due.

49 days b49 days

29/8/11

Gretzky and Voros managed to stay up in their sit stays today. Voros came 8th in Novice and Gretzky was just out of the placings in novice. Gretzky did a nice heelwork round in A but couldn't wait to get his retrieve article and also was a bit chompy in scent. Voros did a lovely A round but needed a bit of help in scent to bring it back. Overall a pleasing day. We have one more obedience show booked this year. I've booked Voros into some agility shows this autumn so will be good to see how he does.

27/8/11

The boys were at Cheltenham open obedience show today (one of our favouite shows). They both did really nice novice and A rounds (Voros worked his first complete A round today). Unfortunately Gretzky fell over in his novice sit stay and both boys decided the scent cloth needed quite a bit of chewing so lost out on places.

Brodeur is doing well and is slowing down now as well as developing a baby bump.

22/8/11

Good news, Brodeur has had her scan and is expecting at least 5 pups. They are due towards the end of September. Fingers are crossed that everything goes smoothly this time.

20/8/11

Both boys have qualified for the ABC finals next year - Voros came 2nd and Gretzky came 3rd in the heat held at Working Belgian Open Show. Voros would have been in line for a place in novice if I had listened to the steward properly and gone the right way - oops.

8/8/11

Obedience weekend again, not much luck on Saturday at Hatchford Brook but on Sunday the boys were invited to the Special ABC Final at Newton Heath Show, Stockport. Decided to go and was really pleased I had. Both dogs had a blast doing the round and I was really pleased with how both of them did. Voros was the star as he came 2nd. Over the moon with that.

31/7/11

Long time since updating. Been to some more obedience shows and recently have been just out of the placings a lot. Last weekend the boys were at The Game Fair at Blenheim Palace, they were representing tollers in the breed booth. They coped very well as they hadn't done anything like that before. They even got to meet the Prime Minister! That was followed by a week long obedience training course so we were all quite tired. This weekend at Burnham on Sea Gretzky came 2nd in the Special ABC class and Voros came 4th in Novice. Got a busy month this August for obedience shows so watch out for news.

2/7/11

Brodeur was awarded VHC (Very Highly Commended) today at Windsor Championship show in the Limit Bitch class. We are still waiting for her to start her season and it is due soon....

27/6/11

At Warlingham Obedience show Saturday Voros came 3rd in the Special ABC class (Anything But a Collie). Gretzky was just out of the cards in joint 7th place, he had fun though.

15/6/11

Voros came 2nd in the agility club competition last night.

13/6/11

Just had another weekend of obedience with the boys. On Saturday Gretzky was just out of the placings in Novice and so was Voros. On Sunday the weather was awful with continuous rain, very heavy at times. Voros was just out of the placings in novice (he came 7th) and I forgot about Gretzky's novice stays so did a nice training round with him instead. He did ok in his A but had a sneezing fit during the heelwork part. Brodeur came along on Sunday and did some lovely work up around the rings, she was very focussed and seems to be enjoying it again.

Brodeur and Voros had their yearly BVA eye checks today. They are both free from eye disease.

5/6/11

Brilliant obedience weekend with the two boys. At Basingstoke on Saturday Voros came 5th in Novice and Gretzky came 2nd in A. Was really pleased with Gretzky as he has taken a while to get back into the shows after the winter break.

We were at Petersfield today and Voros was just out of the cards in Novice and Gretzky had a bit too much fun in scent in A so lost out on a place. The main thing is they were both happy and enjoying themselves.

28/5/11

At Aylesbury Obedience show today, Voros was just out of the cards after a 4 way run off for 6th place. Gretzky is slowly getting back into the show atmosphere.

Well done to Voros' brothers and sisters at Bath Champ show today. Ruari 1st and Reserve Best Dog, Gunner 2nd and Django 3rd. His sister had to go one better and won her class as well as being awarded Best Bitch and then going on to win Best of Breed. Well done to all the Erikachen gang :-D.

21/5/11

Voros had fun at a Rally-Obedience training day organised by The Toller Club of Great Britain - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4MXpe-dn2M&feature=player_embedded

14/5/11

Voros is 2 years old today. Both of the boys went to South Cotswold Open Obedience Show, Gretzky wasn't placed (too busy being a clown) but Voros got his first open show placing - 3rd place in Novice Dog part 2. I was really pleased with this result as he worked so well, he led the class most of the day and was only 2 mistakes (that were mine) behind the leaders.

10/5/11

Our first toller Gretzky is 5 years old today. Happy birthday to our handsome clown :-)

1/5/11

Voros had his first ever placing at an agility show today - 3rd in Beginners steeplechase 1. He also got a clear round in beginners steeplechase 2. Brodeur did some very nice work in the gamblers and then flew off the seesaw, luckily she didn't hurt herself. In the steeplchase runs she couldn't quite contain her enthusiasm so picked up faults.

Yesterday Brodeur was at WELKS Championship show but wasn't placed this time.

24/4/11

Have now put slideshows on the dog's pages as well as a link to some YouTube videos. Hope you enjoy them.

23/4/11

Brodeur is 3 years old today so happy birthday to our pretty girl.

17/4/11

Just finished a double obedience weekend with Gretzky and Voros. Saturday we were at Oxhey show near Watford and no placings but some nice work. Sunday we were near Wolverhampton. Voros was just out of the placings and worked very nicely even though he was a bit warm in all that sunshine. Gretzky is getting back into the show scene and worked very well. Hopefully as the season progresses we will all get back into the swing of things.

Brodeur's turn next week with Windsor Gundog Premier Open Show.

10/4/11

Broadlands UK Agility show - Voros had 2 clears in steeplechase but had to be helped with the chute tunnel in the nursery agility (haven't done that one for a while). Brodeur had one clear in steeplechase and in the second one decided to go under the second to last jump on what would have been a clear round. I think that was her paying me back for sending her on the wrong course in the nursery agility.

They were both measured as well and Brodeur is 48cm, Voros is 49cm.

Next weekend is a double obedience weekend for the boys.

4/4/11

Yesterday we were at the Chippenham Breed and Limited Obedience show. Brodeur was awarded reserve (4th) place in breed open. Voros was awarded 5th place (out of aver 30 dogs) in Novice obedience and Gretzky was awarded 6th place in A obedience. Was very pleased with all of the results but in particular the obedience ones. A good start to the season :-)

26/3/11

Plucked up the courage and took Voros and Brodeur to a UK Agility show. They both went clear in the steeplechase and Brodeur went clear in the nursery agility (despite my handling).

21/3/11

Brodeur came 3rd in the Limit class at the Isle of Wight Gundog show on Saturday 19/3/11. Her first time showing since November.

Voros passed his Bronze Good Citizen test today and all three will hopefully take their Silver award soon.

April is the start of a busy season for the the dogs with mainly obedience, agility and a couple of breed shows. Both of the boys are doing very well in their obedience training and hopefully we will have a succesful year. Voros and Brodeur are also doing well with their agility training and with the weather improving we will be able to get consistent weave training in.

21/1/11

All 3 dogs went into a primary school today as part of a talk about looking after animals for year 1 children. The dogs were so relaxed and well behaved around the children.

27/11/10

Brodeur was awarded 2nd place in Graduate bitch at the Toller breed show today.

21/11/10

Went to a Companion Dog Show today. Brodeur was placed 3rd in AV Gundog and Voros was placed 3rd in AV Yearling. In the obedience classes Brodeur was placed 1st and Voros 3rd in the same class. Gretzky came 2nd in the advanced class, it had exercises he is just starting to learn so he did very well. Brodeur seems to be getting some enjoyment back with the obedience which is good. Maybe towards the end of next year she will be back out competing.

17/11/10

Club competition night at agility tonight and Brodeur got a clear round, she was only a couple of seconds from the placings but I took time to stop her on the contact and praise her. Voros took out the first jump and scared himself so we trained the round. Once he got his confidence back he flew round the course.

29/10/10

The obedience season, for us, ended at the end of September. Gretzky did well this year and was generally just out of the placings at the majority of his shows. This was mainly down to handler error so the winter will be spent trying to get my handling up to standard so I don't let the boys down next year.

Voros has done well this year and has been in the ring doing some lovely training rounds. At the last show in Birmingham I bit the bullet and worked him. He did fantastic (considering I was more interested in keeping him happy and motivated rather than precision), but was momentarily distracted by a feather, otherwise he didn't look away once and really enjoyed himself.

At the beginning of the month, Brodeur attended her first agility competition and came away with a clear in nursery agility and a 3rd place in the Helterskelter. Voros also competed there and had a clear in nursery agility and a 5th place in the helterskelter. They both did really well and enjoyed themselves. It took Brodeur a few hours to come down of the ceiling as she got a real buzz from it.
