Working with Learning Disabilities: Age-specific Approaches - Event Cancelled
Dr Jeremy Tudway and Dr Elizabeth Gillett are internationally regarded Clinical Psychologists. Based in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, they jointly set up Phoenix Psychological Services (PPS) in 2006; their combined expertise provides a wide range of professional services for individuals, groups and organisations.
In their one-day seminar, Dr Tudway and Dr Gillett will be sharing their clinical knowledge and wealth of experience in working therapeutically with individuals with learning disabilities of all ages. Dr Gillett’s area of expertise focuses on working with children and adolescents, while Dr Tudway describes his work with adults.

Dr Elizabeth Gillett is a Chartered Psychologist in both clinical and occupational psychology; she is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, registered as a practitioner psychologist with the Health Professionals Council and a member of the Society of Expert Witnesses. Dr Gillett has held clinical and management positions within the public and voluntary sector working with children and families. Clinically her work has focused on children, adolescents and people with learning disabilities. Recently she was appointed to the National Family Justice Council as the ministerially appointed Child Mental Health Specialist to assist in policy and planning.

Dr Jeremy Tudway is a Chartered Psychologist specialising in Clinical and Forensic psychology; he is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, registered as a practitioner psychologist with the Health Professionals Council and a member of the British Association of Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapists and is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Sexual Aggression. Dr Tudway has held senior clinical and management positions within the public and independent sector, as well as having senior management experience across a range of forensic services. Dr. Tudway works therapeutically with mentally disordered offenders and forensic issues but also works closely with other client groups, such as adults with mental health problems and learning disabilities. Dr. Tudway is a tutor and supervisor in both Clinical and Forensic Doctoral Programmes at the Universities of Birmingham, Coventry and Warwick and an external examiner in Clinical Psychology at the University of Exeter.
