Tony Draper B.A. (Hons), M.Sc., C.Psychol, A.F.BPs.S. M.C.I.P.D

Tony is a Chartered Psychologist with over 15 years experience in occupational psychology, organisation development and consulting. Prior to this he pursued a career in HR management, reaching divisional level in a major PLC.

He has completed highly successful projects in both the public and private sectors mainly concentrating on management assessment & development, organisation & team development and training. Throughout his career he has enjoyed working with companies seeking to improve performance by implementing change.

Tony is also a Registered Occupational Psychologist and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. He is a Founding Principal Member of the Association of Business Psychologists and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

He has extensive experience of a wide range of occupational tests & questionnaires and specialises in providing assessment processes tailored to meet the needs of individual clients.

Tony regularly works with a number of other professional colleagues in psychology and HR. In particular, he has a long-standing collaboration with Vince Whittle, his co-director at Performance Edge Limited working on a variety of organisation development and recruitment projects.

Examples of client projects have included:

  • Design and delivery of development centres for senior European managers at VISA (Europe)

  • Assessment of Top NHS managers during period of major change

  • Design and delivery of assessor training for UK directors of a major pharmaceutical company

  • Assessment of c150 management candidates at all levels for Kawneer UK Ltd (part of ALCOA) over a period of fifteen years

  • Assessment of over 100 academics progressing to senior management positions at the University of the West of England over a period of nine years
  • Design and delivery of assessment process for 90 consultants over a two year period for a major telecommunications consultancy

  • Assessment of candidates for senior positions in the insurance industry and other major financial services companies in the City

  • Designed and delivered major change project to improve communication, problem-solving and performance involving almost 400 people within a firm of solicitors

  • Design and delivery of management workshops geared at developing teamwork reducing interpersonal conflict for an oil industry client
