chill frozen yogurt

Just in time for summer there’s a new frozen yogurt place that just popped into town.  Yes, St. Louis is a few years behind the froyo trend but I say better late than never.  Being a recovering froyo addict, I’ve tasted my fair share of it and I have to say I was impressed with this place.  chill definitely beats FroYo (the only other yogurt place in this city)…so if you live in St. Louis and are craving some tart dessert, this is the place to be.  The space is really sleek and modern & it’s located in the nice Clayton neighborhood, on Wydown and Hanley.  They have a similar self-serve set-up that FroYo has, but they’re promoting their yogurt as being all-natural.  It hasn’t been open long enough for me to tell if this is really true and if they use fresh minimally processed ingredients, but I sure am hoping they’re going in the direction of Fraiche (my absolute favorite) and not Pinkberry.  While their froyo comes in many different flavors, I of course opted for the original tart, which was sufficiently tart to my liking and didn’t taste artificial.  I usually stick to fruit toppings (or yogurt chips…which no one seems to have anymore!), but this time I added some espresso chocolate chips that added a tasty crunch.  I envision myself practically living here this summer and am excited to finally be able to enjoy the froyo in this city!
