The Cake Maker Shop

Jill Studied Art and Pottery at Secondary School in Brighouse, West Yorkshire before going onto to college to study Art and Design.

She worked as a Graphic Designer in Bradford for 15 years before becoming a full time mother bringing up two children, taking on various part time roles to fill in between.

Jill first became interested in Cakes when she was bought a cake decorating book for her birthday and decided to have a go and make one for her daughter's birthday party.

Realising she was enjoying making and decorating cakes for her children Jill invested in an Aga cooker and began trying out lots of traditional recipes for all types of cakes.

It soon became apparent that Jill had a natural flair using her design talent for making intricately modelled cakes. Armed with a portfolio of delicious, fabulously decorated cakes she soon gained an excellent reputation locally and was inundated with orders for cakes.

Jill has since commissioned many unique cakes including Wedding, Celebration, Christmas and personalised character cakes and often exhibits at local Wedding and Christmas Fairs.

In 2011 Jill opened The Cake Maker Shop (Formerly Celebrations) at Heckmondwike selling a wide range of Cake Making and Decorating Supplies.
