A second chance for Joe McElderry

Second chance Joe McElderry

Last but not least, the newly revived Joe McElderry has had a turbulent career so far. Winner of the sixth series of X-Factor, his first single ‘The Climb’ reached No 1 in the UK charts.

Unfortunately, in April 2011 his contract with Simon Cowell’s record company Syco expired and Joe was dropped. A source from Syco records said “Simon gave Joe the best chance possible – it is a pity it didn’t work out”.

In May the singer appeared at Buckingham Palace and performed “something’s coming”, then his big break came when he was a contestant on Popstar to Operastar in June of this year.

Joe won the show, and it later transpired that he had received the most votes every week he performed!

Has Joe McElderry found his niche? This young lad certainly has the voice to go far, but where does he fit in the music world? Perhaps this second chance will see him move into musicals in the West End or even Broadway!!

The Gordie singer tours the UK following the release of his second album ‘Classic’, so grab your Joe McElderry tickets from BritEvents.com and enjoy seeing him perform his new album and perhaps some old favourites.
