T6 WATER DISPENSER GETS THUMBS UP FROM THE BEEB

February 14, 2011

London February 7 2011 – The T6 water dispenser has been given a positive recommendation by presenters on the BBC’s Sunday morning lifestyle show “Something for the Weekend.”

‘Gadget girl’ Abi Griffiths reviewed the product live on air, giving viewers a demonstration of the machine, which dispenses triple filtered hot and cold water at the touch of a button.

She highlighted the convenience of the T6, its USP – a UV lamp which kills off bacteria in the water – and its eco-credentials – “It gets rid of all those plastic bottles which still have a massive effect on the environment.”

She said: “You are getting really purified water at the touch of a button,” adding: “When you go into your kitchen in the morning and you need that first cup of tea, you just press a button – so you don’t have to stare at a kettle waiting for it to boil.”

Abi, a national athletics champion who also presents a range of sports programmes across television, said the machine saves time and water and was “great for offices.”

Co-presenter Tim Lovejoy, sitting beside her on the ‘Something for the Weekend’ sofa listening to the review, said: “It’s good.”

Thanks to a price promotion, the T6 is currently selling for £425 which includes installation by a factory-trained engineer and maintenance for a year.
About the T6:

As the T6 is mains fed, there is an instant supply of water, with no need to wait for the kettle to boil or rely on bottled water. A recent survey by T6 found that Britions spend 188 days of their working lives making tea in the office. The T6 is so called because its makers, Strauss Water, believe it will become the sixth indispensable kitchen appliance.

Water dispensed by the T6 is triple-filtered. A double carbon block removes odours and tiny particles, and reduces chlorine in order to improve the taste of the water. A UV lamp finishes the purification process and destroys micro-organisms present in the water supply. The T6 has an LCD screen, sleep and standby modes and comes in 12 different colours to fit any office decor. It is approved under the Water Regulation Advisory Scheme.
