How come a certain word did not appear as a result?

There are many dictionaries in existence right now. Surprisingly, not all are in agreement with what is actually considered an official English word. As a matter of fact the amount of words in discrepancy can be enormous. Dictionaries vary in range from 50,000 words to almost 500,000 words. Coming in summer 2007, TheWordFinder plans to let users choose the dictionary they want to use, or users can still just continue using the default dictionary.
