Silk Stockings

This tutorial was written using PSP 9 and presumes you have a working knowledge of psp.

You will need the following supplies :-
Jasc psp version 9. You can download a trial version here
Eye Candy 5 Impact. Demo version here
Filtermeister Tv mania filter, Sample version here Go to Download scroll down to components and download FM Sample Filters.
When you have this installed this to your plugins folder, it will not appear under filtermeister it is under neology.
The Stocking tubehere

I received this tube in good faith from websites offering them for free download. If you are the artist and would like me to remove this please email me.

Ok lets get started, Open a new transparent image 500 x 500. Flood fill with #6a5b69.
Layers, new raster layer, Make sure new layer is highlighted, Effects, plugins, neology,TV mania, with these settings:-

Repeat tv mania this time with these settings

You should now have a criss cross image in red similar to mine

Drop the opacity of the criss cross lines down to 22 or to whatever you are happy with, once happy merge your coloured background and this tv layer.

Open your tube, edit, copy, paste as new layer move this layer to the far left so the shoe is stood on base of your image,
Layers duplicate x out the duplicate layer and make sure the layer 2 is highlighted, Adjust Hue and saturation/colorize
Hue 0 saturation 0, apply.
Drop the opacity of this layer to 34 or again how you like it.

Un x your duplicate layer, Image, resize 75% uncheck all layers. Move this layer So the legs are at the top of the image and to the right of the others. So that the legs are the same as picture below.

Freehand Tool, you may want to zoom in here for this part, you need to select all of the shoe there is probably an easier way than I have done it but this way works for me
Do one shoe at a time and you may find it easier to do the strappy parts first colorize them then do the rest of the shoe.

Make sure you get all the little straps you may need to change the settings to get these I changed mine to Mode remove.

Adjust, Hue and saturation, colorize, hue 0 sat 255

Now do the same with the other shoe.

Selection tool set to default with rectangle, Draw out a long narrow rectangle at bottom of your image,

Selections, promote selection to layer. Flood fill your selection with #b70d0d. Keep selected,
Effects, plugins, eye candy 5 impact, glass click on the clear with no drop shadow, ok.
Select none. Duplicate image, image, free rotate 45 left. This layer will be slightly to small for what we want so use your deform tool to stretch it out slightly longer
Now using your mover tool move this bar so it sits under the red shoes as in picture below.

We now need to duplicate this layer 4 times so we have a total of 5 bars and the horizontal bar
With your mover tool move the bars into place as shown below.

Now you will notice your horizontal bar is over lapping these bars we don't want that so take your erasure tool,
Square size 20 and erase the part of the horizontal bar that overlaps the other 5 bar use my main picture as a guide.

when you are happy with it all the way it looks go to layers, merge visible.

Now to frame it. Image add borders, click ok on the box that may pop up, settings are 4 symmetrical checked and use a colour that isn't in your picture. I used a yellow.
Select this frame, flood fill with the red you used earlier, Plugins, eye candy 5 , glass same settings as before. Selections, select none.
Image, add borders, change the number to 8, select, flood fill with a gradient of your choice I used a silvery one but any grey or silver gradient will do, effects , plugins, eye candy, glass same settings as before.
Select none.

Now to add the text, Use any font you like but a plainer font works better than a script font, Depending on how you close you placed your bars will depend on the size of text.
Text tool, make sure vector is checked, background null, foreground the red we used earlier, #b70d0d, in the first triangle type the first letter of your name or the lettering I used the choice is yours. use the raster deform tool to turn
the letter into the right position, so that it sits at an angle within the first (smallest) gap. Layers, convert to raster layer.
Type your next set of words and place these in the second gap up again using the deform tool to turn, stretch and position it how you want it, convert to raster, Continue this until you get up to the top gap as shown below

All the words should now look like this.

Your layer palette should now look like this

Highlight the bottom layer (the image) add new raster layer add your watermark etc, x out all the text layers and merge you watermark layer with the image layer.

We now need 4 more copies of the main picture so make sure the bottom layer is still highlighted, and duplicate this layer 4 times giving total of 5 in all,
now you should have 10 layers in your palette, 5 images and 5 text, x out all but one image and all but one text layers, merge, merge visible. Do this with all the layers.
Making sure that you start with the single letter and work up to the top letters. You should now have 5 layers each one with different text on.
Make sure all layers are un checked no red x and save as a psp image.
ANIMATION

Open animation shop, You may have your own way of doing animations if so please feel free to do it your own way, but this is my way, Open your saved psp image in animation shop,
It should be showing all 5 layers, Click on image 2 and holding shift click 3,4,and 5 edit copy, edit paste after current frame, now highlight frame 6,7,8, and 9 holding down shift
so you select these for then go to animation reverse frames. If you view animation you will see it is flashing to fast so we need to slow this down, edit, select all, animation,
frame properties, and change this to something between 30 and 37 whatever you are happy with. Once you are happy save your tag as a gif.

Thats it all done, hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
