The big attraction is the 103 Islands of Sorel that are part of the Lake Saint-Pierre Biosphere World Heritage Reserve. This is part of UNESCO's World Network of Biosphere Reserves since November 2000.
In the fall and spring, snow geese and ducks use this area during their migration. There are observation areas in the municipality of Baie-du-Febvre (Baieville).
