Jewish Cemetery, Fitzgerald

Fitzgerald’s Hebrew Congregation has its own section in Evergreen Cemetery. My dear friend Connie Kruger notes that her father-in-law, Abe Kruger, put a lot of effort into getting this cemetery established. It was established in 1954 by Kruger, as Chairman, along with Philip Halperin, Charles Harris, Dr. Morris Kusnitz, and Rabbi Nathan Kohen.

What a beautiful picture! We are proud to have such a lovely resting-place for members of our congregation and their relatives! Abe Kruger worked so hard to get the cemetery established. He would be so proud to have it recognized. Thank you.

Abe Kruger certainly did a wonderful job of overseeing the creation of this cemetery, and it’s a compliment to his vision as to how well kept up it is to this day. You are very welcome, Connie!
