BASSWOOD |
Basswood is the premium wood for
shutters. Its kiln dried and laminated during the manufacturing
process making it very strong and warp resistant. Basswood
is also a very light timber so it’s perfect for
those large application where weight is a consideration.
Basswood offers you almost unlimited options – louvers
are available in 32mm, 47mm, 63mm and 89mm. There are
the solid panels and louvred / solid combinations as well
as the special shapes. You have the choice of 20 standard
paint colours and 32 standard stain colours. With Basswood
you can also customize the paint finish you may want by
choosing any Dulux Trade colour or Farrow & Ball colour.
Again there are the six hinge colours to choose from. |
LOCKWOOD |
If you prefer the idea of a real
wood shutter at a reasonable price this is the perfect
choice. A hard, long lasting timber which makes it very
stable - ideal for shutters. There’s a choice of
either 47mm, 63mm or 89mm louvers. You can choose solid
panel options or a louvred top section with a solid bottom
section. You can also have special shaped panels for arched
doorways or windows. There are twenty four stain or paint
finishes to choose from. |
CRAFTWOOD |
Craftwood is a man made composite
material almost identical to MDF and is the most cost
effective material. The finishing process is plasticized
which makes it ideal for bathrooms applications where
the shutters will be subject to damper conditions than
normal. However this does not mean it can not be used
in more standard applications. Craftwood shutters are
only available louvered, in louver sizes 47mm, 63mm and
89mm. There are three standard paint finishes to choose
from and also 6 hinge colours to choose from. |
