“Every Child, Every Chance, Every Day”
“I have come that they may have life, Life in all its fullness” John 10:10

At Walton Church of England Primary School; we aim to provide a safe, caring, happy and stimulating learning environment where everyone's contribution is valued. All the members of our school community are encouraged to develop their full potential. We work as a team to provide a balanced and relevant curriculum, where all our children have equal access and individual needs are met.
We believe all children should be given the opportunity to build their confidence and self-esteem. Celebrating and rewarding success and effort in all aspects of school life are essential features of our school. It is vital to equip our children with all the skills necessary for them to become thoughtful, hardworking, considerate and well-motivated citizens of the future as they move through primary school and onto the secondary phase of their education.

Our OFSTED inspection in October 2023 said of our school… “The school has planned a broad and ambitious curriculum. They adapt the curriculum appropriately for the mixed aged classes… Teachers carefully check pupils’ understanding. They make sure any misconceptions are quickly dealt with. In Reception, children begin to learn numeracy and literacy as soon as they start. The school plans activities and play to support children’s interest. The school ensures that teachers have bespoke training to support SEND pupils. This means teachers skilfully adapt the curriculum to support these pupils. Pupils are calm and orderly, both in the classroom and out… Pupils are positive about their learning. The school ensures there is a well-planned personal, social and health education curriculum. This begins in early years…They are well prepared for life in modern Britain. The school culture is safe and nurturing. This encourages pupils to develop their confidence, for example learning new musical instruments or singing to the parents and community. Pupils are proud of their school. They show care and consideration for one another.”
