Our Ethos
Zarin's Curry Bazaar believes in using fresh ingredients, supporting local producers and introducing customers to true homestyle cooking from Bangladesh and the Indian sub-continent. Are meals are freshly prepared off site every day at Omars Tandoori, our sister business in Hatfield Peverel, and can be purchased throughout the day for a quick, tasty and ethical meal in the evenings or if preferred we can warm them to order and deliver to your door. |

Lamb from Layer Marney The
lamb we use in our dishes is supplied by Layer Marney Lamb, a family
run business based at Thoringtons Farm in Layer Marney, Colchester.
They have over 20 years experience of producing high quality ethically
bred lamb and free range chickens. The lamb is a mix of Lleyn (ewe) and
Charollais (Ram) and are forage reared on the acres of farm land.
The chickens are also supplied by Layer Marney lamb, they are free range Hybrid Ross. In additon to the Lamb and Chicken that appear regularly on our menu other meats provided by the Layer Marney Lamb farm shop in Stanway, Colchester may appear as ourr unique Curry of the Week. Rare Breed Beef The
beef used in our Beef Randang is the rare breed Dexter Beef. The
smallest British breed of cattle the beef is of excellent quality and
flavour and stays tender throughout cooking. Our meat is supplied by Monach Farms, Colchester where they have over 25 years of experience in raising cattle. Find out more on their website Seasonal Vegetables Our
seasonal vegetables are supplied by Wildfields Farm in Tolleshunt
D'Arcy. Farmers Roy and Rita Hill have run the farm for over 15 years
producing a range of vegetables which they sell at local farmers
markets. The farm is over 60 acres in size with 24 acres dedicated to
growing vegetables |
Fresh Local Fish The
Sea Bass featuring on our menu is caught off the coast of Tollesbury,
the village of Plough and Sail, on the east coast of Essex. There is only one working Trawler left sailing out of the docks at Tollesbury and as well as bringing back the regular Sea Bass a range of other fish caught by the Trawler also feature on our menu as our unique curry of the week.
