Kelsi Lewis working with Trevor Nunn28 September 2011 Stage Management & Technical Theatre Graduate Kelsi Lewis has been selected for one of the highly sought-after apprentice roles at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. Kelsi will be the Masterclass Stage Management Apprentice for Trevor Nunn's production of The Lion In Winter. The show stars Robert Lindsay and Joanna Lumley, and Kelsi will work on the production till Press Night on the 15 November. Rehearsals begin today! >. Robert Saunders at Polka Theatre23 September 2011 2011 Grad Robert Saunders has been cast in Polka Theatre's Christmas Show Charlotte's Web. It's directed by Roman Stefanski, Polka's Associate Director and a regular Project Director here at ALRA. Rob and Roman start rehearsals in mid-October. >. Look out for Chris Ashby in Doc Martin12 September 2011 The new series of Doc Martin starts tonight, and from the 19 September, 2011 Grad Chris Ashby will feature in a couple of episodes. Chris takes the role of Harry Pote, and had two gorgeous weeks filming in Cornwall in the Spring. >. Hayley Ellenbrook opens Trevor Nunn's The Tempest6 September 2011 Trevor Nunn's eagerly awaited production of The Tempest opens tonight at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. Ralph Fiennes plays Prospero and Nicholas Lyndhurst appears as Trinculo. Hayley Ellenbrook (2010 Grad) joins them in the ensemble, and understudies the role of Miranda. >. Raj Bajaj in The Snow Queen at the Unicorn Theatre6 September 2011 Raj Bajaj, who graduated this summer from the Three Year Acting course, has been confirmed to play Bobby in the Unicorn Theatre's Christmas show. Richard Holt stars in West End transfer of Swallows and Amazons2 September 2011 Richard Holt (PG Graduate 2008) is set to play John Walker in the West End transfer of Tom Morris' acclaimed production. Swallows and Amazons will transfer to the Vaudeville Theatre with a Christmas run starting on the 15 December. The show will then tour nationally throughout 2012. Swallows and Amazons was Bristol Old Vic's most successful Christmas show of recent years, and features music and lyrics by the Divine Comedy's Neil Hannon. >. Singer Lindsey and cellist Li Lu take on artist Johan Andersson and cellist Janie Price in a race from Athens to Edinburgh, financed only by the cash they make from their own art. Robert Lonsdale at the Donmar with Jude Law22 June 2011 2008 Graduate Robert Lonsdale has just begun rehearsals for Anna Christie at the Donmar Warehouse. Rachel De-Lahay's play at the Royal Court17 June 2011 We're delighted to announce that Rachel De-Lahay's play The Westbridge is to be produced by the Royal Court this November. Rachel, who graduated from ALRA in 2007, came to the Royal Court through the Unheard Voices Writers Programme. The Westbridge is her first play and was awarded the Alfred Fagon Award last year. Tickets went on sale this week, and some dates are already sold out! For more information, visit the Royal Court website.
