William Brock, 81, is accused of killing Lo-Letha Toland-Hall, 61, after mistakenly believing she was a scammer. Brock told cops he had been receiving menacing phone calls all day before Toland-Hall arrived and has pleaded not guilty to her murder. Clark County Sheriff's Office Detective Cruz spoke with the alleged scammer on the phone following the fatal shooting, footage obtained by ABC showed. 'May I ask who I'm talking to?' Cruz demanded. The scammer replied that 'this is the officer speaking,' to which Cruz responded 'Okay... what officer?'

The spring real estate market is in full swing and homes are going up for sale - but they're staying there for longer in a handful of US cities. In a smattering of metro cold spots - dotted throughout Texas , Florida , Louisiana , New York and West Virginia - homes are staying on the market for an average of more than 60 days, according to new data from Realtor.com. For comparison, homes spent a median of 50 days on the market in March. 'Some of these markets are perennially slow-moving,' said Danielle Hale, chief economist at Realtor.com. 'They tend to be smaller markets that are not on the radar of most buyers.'

A mom-to-be has lifted the lid on her 'uncomfortable' experience working in a men's maximum security prison while seven months pregnant. Bella Aguilar, from California, is a former prison maintenance supervisor who worked in a jail for seven years. The 27-year-old even continued working at the prison while she was expecting a baby, despite it being extremely 'depressing' and difficult on her mental health. At the beginning of her pregnancy, Bella tried to hide her baby bump with baggy clothes, however, after she could no longer conceal that she was bearing a child, working alongside the criminals became terrifying.

An impressive 1,475 statues have filled the landscape beside a D-Day memorial overlooking France 's Golden Beach in honour of each of the servicemen who fell during the historic mission. The Standing with Giants silhouettes are part of the For Your Tomorrow installation at the British Normandy Memorial, in Ver-Sur-Mer, France. In a stunning nod to the servicemen who fell on D-Day itself, almost 80 years ago, the fields within the British Normandy Memorial campus have been filled with two-metre-tall statues of soldiers - representing the three military services. Alongside the 1,475 silhouettes, the project will also install bespoke 'giants' to represent the only two women on the Memorial, nurses Sisters Evershed and Field. The two heroic women died while saving 75 men from a sinking hospital ship.

These British tourists appeared stunned after taking a holiday snap with this cheeky monkey in Bali, Indonesia.
