Family owned & run since 1975 Chequers Motor Company is a true family business. With three generations of the Abercrombie family involved in the motor trade we have been based on the same site in Great Notley ever since Ford Abercrombie started the business in 1975.

We are friendly, welcoming and like to offer a relaxed environment in which to find your next car. We are FCA regulated & members of the Trading Standards "Buy with Confidence" scheme. Onsite we have a large workshop offering vehicle maintenance, tyre fitting, TPMS tyre diagnostics, Snap-On vehicle diagnostics, Dual Gas Air-Con recharging for the very latest cars and more.

All our vehicles are HPi clear and come fully prepared to a high standard and are sold serviced and MOT'd. We also offer a 3 month in house warranty on all of our Vehicles in addition to our partnership with Warranty Wise.

Hi there, visited this garage, as was looking for an Ecosport Auto to which they had one there. Got to say we have visited a lot of garages over the years! But "Ford" the owner was such a genuine person, the car was spotless.
