A Wedding at Halstead House

'Sheer Poetry at Halstead House'

Congratulations to Charlotte and Luke Massey who were married on Saturday 25 July 2009 at Halstead House.

Detailed is a beautiful poem written by Charlotte and delivered with great emotion by her father during his speech. With kind permission from Charlotte, I have published her poem, below.

The Wedding

A marriage requires a bride and groom,
Two people that become one.
In that marriage there will always be,
One love, one soul, one song.

Here comes the bride, a glowing smile,
Eyes that well with happy tears
Holding on to Dad's strong, steady hand,
That has guided her through all the years.

Down the aisle to her waiting groom,
From father and daughter, onto husband and wife,
The two most special men around
With whom she shares her life.

The sacred vows and exchange of rings
Are both symbols of eternity,
And she will take his name as hers,
So together they will forever be.

Leaving the room as man and wife,
To celebrate this happy day,
Surrounded by family and special friends,
They eat and dance the day away.

Wonderful food and nerve-wrecking speeches
All add to the laughter and fun.
With photographs and film galore,
To bring back memories when the day is done.

Music and dancing throughout the night,
With everyone in such high spirits,
The most amazing day of their lives
And they're so glad you're here to share in it.

Late Bookings - Discounts Available for 2009

Adorn Photography is now offering a 10% discount for all weddings booked after 1 June 2009 for weddings taking place this year (2009). A few dates for this year are still available.

Availability can be checked by going to the on-line section of Adorn Photography's website and opening any of the Portfolio weddings - the availability checker being on the top left-hand side of the page. If in doubt, please do not hesitate to call me.

So far this year we have had some beautiful weather - sunshine and only a few showers! Recent weddings have taken place at venues, such as The Priest House at Ashby-de-la-Zouch; Sutton Bonington Hall; St Bartholomew's Church at Kirby Muxloe; All Saints Church, Narborough; The Belfry near Tamworth.

The picture above shows the bridge at the entrance to The Priest House - a most beautiful venue.

New Brochure Available

Some exciting news from Adorn Photography! New albums have been added to our range. These include storybook style albums and further options on existing albums. We have produced a new brochure giving information about our new and existing collections. This is available to download from the Contact page on the Adorn Photography website, by completing the on-line enquiry form and pressing 'submit'.

Approaching Easter, I have been busy with weddings at All Saints Church, Narborough (pictured above) which is my home village, to as far a field as Old St Melons Church, Cardiff.

A note regarding travelling to weddings - if the wedding is within a 50 mile radius from the centre of Leicester city, all travel is free. Over 50 miles, a charge of 50p per mile is made.

Thanks to all those people that have booked me over the last few weeks and it was great to meet everyone at the recent Wedding Fayres. I still have a few key dates available for 2009 and due to one or two recent cancellations and weddings that have been postponed until 2010, I now have a few extra dates available which I can offer at a 5% discount. These extra dates are:

If I have recently spoken to you at a Wedding Fayre or following an enquiry via the net, I may have informed you that these dates are booked - so please contact me if you are interested, as they are now available at a discounted price. Alternatively, if you have not booked a wedding photographer for the above dates, they are now available. Other dates are available for this year and next, so please call!

The Wedding Fayre season is now well and truly underway. Please come and visit Adorn Photography's stand at the following Wedding Fayres:

You will then have an opportunity to see our new exciting albums for 2009, more examples of Adorn Photography's work, choice of different albums and wedding selections and to meet me personally to discuss your individual wedding requirements.
