With over 45 years of backcountry experience, Yamnuska's Backcountry Kitchen has developed and refined a variety of dehydrated dinner entrees and food programs. Like anyone who has spent a day in the wilderness, or a month, we know that food can make, or break, a trip.
From multi-day expeditions to day trips from base camp, we’ve created meals, menus, and field packaging that’s suitable for all types of backcountry activities. Our meals and menu plans are field tested and refined to provide the performance required in the backcountry. Combined with high-quality ingredients and our passionate chef’s skills, we are able to offer you a flavourful menu that satisfies a wide range of tastes and dietary requirements. And they taste great!

Yamnuska Mountain Adventures offers expert wilderness first aid courses and certification out of our classrooms in Canmore, Alberta. Immediately behind our office is the perfect wilderness setting so we never have to drive to complete the outdoor training. The primary focus of our Wilderness First Aid programs is to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively respond to medical emergencies in a remote setting. The emphasis is on preparation, situational awareness, and self-assurance in the face of an emergency.
