Protecting wildlife
With the support of our volunteers and members, we care for over 5,000ha of land. As one of 46 UK Wildlife Trusts, we work with other organisations, landowners and communities to protect and connect wildlife sites across the county.
General Election: speak out now!
There will be a General Election on 4th July 2024 and it's crucial that nature's voice is heard. This General Election is incredibly important for wildlife and wild spaces across the UK, and beyond. The UK is already classified as one of the world’s most nature-depleted countries, and the incoming Government will be responsible for turning this around.
Now's your chance to send a very clear message to candidates of all parties that restoring nature, fighting climate change, supporting sustainable farming and giving more people access to green spaces must be top priorities for the next government. There's plenty of advice on how to do that below.
Restore Nature Now
Wildlife and climate campaigners unite in what could be the biggest ever march for nature. Members of the public are being encouraged to ‘unite for nature’ by joining a legal and family-friendly demonstration on the streets of central London on Saturday 22 June 2024.
Backed by a wide-range of nature, wildlife and climate groups and campaigners, including Chris Packham, the demonstration aims to be the biggest-ever gathering of nature and climate supporters in the UK.
The Restore Nature Now demonstration will bring thousands of people together to call on all political parties to take action to restore nature and tackle climate change in the UK, as one of the worst nations for nature loss.
