Spike Dudley: The champ with no future?

Now, upon reading this you may ask "does this official have a death wish ?" , however before you jump to conclusions allow me explain myself. I have worked as an active official for over half a decade now. I can proudly say that I have always tried to uphold the rules of the squared circle and remain unbiased. For this reason,I have to question the future reign of the current BTW Heavyweight Champion Spike Dudley.

Dudley, who I have always found to be man of great resiliency, great ability, and great integrity upholds all the values and work ethic that make me, as not only an employee of Big Time Wrestling, but also a lover of our great sport, proud to say he is our champion. Dudley however faces what may be insurmountable odds, as the roster of Big Time Wrestling overflows with great talent maybe now more then ever.

After winning the title in a great bout against former 2 time champion "Hurricane" John Walters on January 2nd 2010, Spike has placed a target on his back larger then the notorious underdogs frame may be capable of supporting. Lets look at some of the champs potential challengers.

Justin Credible- I need not recant the story of Justin Credible's rise andfall in Big Time Wrestling over it's existence, however after his shockingreappearance, the change in Credible was clear as day. He was back in Big Time Wrestling and back with a vengeance. As someone who witnesses Credibleovercome all odds, fairly, and evenhandedly at last years "Webster Rumble"to take the heavyweight championship from "Hurricane" Walters, It makes mequestion just what this new extreme sociopath ( a name officials have coinedfor Credible as of late) Is capable of. Can the champ overcome a man whoknows him better and hold on to the gold?

"Hurricane" John Walters- Since his loss in the finals, nobody has seen orheard from John Walters. The often cool and composed Walters seemed to becrushed by his losing the opportunity to hold the most prestigious titlearound today. Management has attempted to contact Walters, and his phone has been disconnected, they have gone to his home address only to find it empty. Although upon speaking to some who would consider themselves close toWalters, claim he has been known to "Punish himself" for his faults and"mistakes". Some believe he may be in hiding, or gone overseas to studydifferent styles of wrestling. If the Hurricane resurfaces, it's entirely possible we will have a different more dangerous Walters on our hands.

"The Detonator" Ric Fuller- Since parting ways Ric Fuller has had nothing but momentum behind him. We've seen what happens when Fuller and Spike getin the ring together, and the outcome has certainly never been favorable forSpike. I don't have much to say aside from that, and it is mostly because Idon't want to say anything that could trigger the detonator (nudge nudge)

Antoine Roi- Many may be surprised to see the sometimes cowardly, alwayspompous french man make my list. Although, the newly made singles competitoris the definition of a savvy veteran who will do just about anything to comeout on top. Is it possible that whoever comes out on top of the rivalrybetween himself and his former partner and tag champion Rush could be available contender for the championship?

This is just scratching the surface too folks, with great talent coming into Big Time Wrestling consistently and other great up and coming stars such asthe powerhouse "Diamondback" Jack Maverick, or explosive young tag competitors such as Eddie "Bam Bam" and Tony Delfonzo. Spike Dudley is sure to have a competitive reign as long as he is able to hold onto the belt.

In short, the path to glory is never an easy one for any competitor here in BTW, and SpikeDudley would be the first to tell you he's never had anything handed to himin this business. It's going to take a lot of heart for Dudley to hold on to that title, and even though I have my doubts, I have none that he will leave it all in the ring for you fans every time.

Thanks for reading, if you have any questions, comments, or any photographs from BTW events we'd love to see them and share them with everyone else!

BTW Heavyweight Title...now vacant.

BTW Management regrets to inform Big Time Wrestling fans that it's heavyweight title has been forced to be vacated. Due to the actions of former champion Justin Credible, as well as a lack of decisive ruling by the legally appointed official. Management has handed down this ruling not only due to the lack of a clear cut decision, but also due to the actions of the former champion who encouraged the disorderly behavior of The Legendary Terry Funk, as well as the interference of other individuals from outside of the company.

The Big Time Wrestling Championship Committee, outraged by the former champions actions, has consulted with commissioner Richard Byrne and decided it is best they declared the title vacated. The commissioner has stated that although he may not fully agree with the rulings of the committee he supports their decision, and feels this will open the door for new and up and coming talent to shine in a tournment to declare the new champion, more details to follow.

Who is Lonestar?

A new star debuted in Big Time Wrestling recently by the name of "Lonestar". Theories as to who this masked man may be have been flying throughout the BTW locker room since the man known as Lonestar has shown up to the building already wearing his mask, and has been keeping mostly to himself with little to no interaction with management or fellow wrestlers.

What is known about Lonestar however, is his recent impressive victory over Benny Juxx, and his assistance in helping save the heavyweight champion Justin Credible from Ric Fuller and his hired guns has gotten him involved over his head quickly here in Big Time Wrestling.

The big question remains though, who is this Lonestar? what are his intentions? and what does this mean for Fabbulous and his crew of hired gun trying desperately to regain the BTW heavyweight championship?. If you have any information on the identity of Lonestar please contact Big Time Wrestling, it's management, or email myself and I will be sure to pass it along.

Thanks for reading, and I hope everyone is having a great summer!
