Since 2003 Southwest Scotland-based Afghan Schools has funded grass roots educational projects in rural Afghanistan.
The trust work to support local people to build and staff schools in regions where larger NGOs and government agencies have often been unable to operate. Afghan Schools is funded entirely by donations. With minimal overheads, nearly all money raised goes directly to supporting the schools.
