During recent testing we have noticed that some functions do not work with the Safari browser (Apple devices). We suggest until these are resolved you use a different browser where you can i.e. Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge/IE, etc.

One obvious issue is the recaptcha challenge that is failing to display and allow you to respond. This is vital for some security-conscious functions eg Join The Club, adding FreeAds, etc.

We apologise for this and are working hard to resolve this issue.

Covid!   2024
Covid-19
The Covid virus continues to infect people in the UK and so it is always possible that events will be cancelled as a precaution. We therefore strongly advise checking with the organisers prior to travelling and booking accomodation, to ensure the event is still taking place.

Own an A30 or A35? Tell us about it!

As the Owners' Club we are keen to know about all A30s and A35s that are still with us regardless of their condition. If you haven't already done so we would appreciate it if you would register it on the Club's database. See the Register Your Vehicle(s) option in the menu on the right side of this page.

Even if it isn't your vehicle, if you see one on the road or at a show, check to see if the Club are aware of it using the Vehicle Look-up option in the menu. If we don't - add it! Just leave the ownership details blank .. or encourage the owner to join the club and register it themselves!

We are constantly looking for new stories about your Austin's for our Club Magazines. Contact the Spotlight or Sidelights Editor to discuss including your vehicle in a forthcoming edition.

Looking for an A30 or A35, or parts?

We are now publishing adverts from members as they arrive on the website .. look under Club Shop. We also still have FreeAds. So check regularly - that long needed part or the vehicle of your dreams may just be available!

Kim Henson's "Enjoying Your Austin" book'
book Again this year several owners have asked me whether my book on our favourite small Austins is still available ...
Yes it is (I wrote and published the book), and it can be purchased direct from me if you wish, and until the end of December 2023 is on special offer ...
The discounted price for U.K. buyers is £25.00 including free 'Royal Mail Tracked 24' postage and packing.
(Normal Price £23.95 plus £5.00 postage and packing, totalling £28.95 for UK buyers).
(For sending overseas, please contact me for post/packing costs).

Please note that this book, completed and published in 2004, has never been revised nor reprinted; this is the original, authentic and only edition.

It took me six years to write and was a labour of love, based on years of first hand experience with these Austins.

Widely regarded as a 'definitive' book about the classic British Austin A30 and A35 cars, containing historical, technical and maintenance information, as well as sections devoted to the sheer fun of owning these diminutive but big-hearted, friendly Austins.

IDEAL PRESENT for someone else or to buy just for your own interest/enjoyment.

'Accessible Classics' - No. 1 - Austin A30/A35: 'Enjoying Your Austin'

This is a new, unused 'out of the box' copy of the first, Collector's Edition of the well-received 'Enjoying Your Austin' book on the A30/A35, written by Kim Henson.

The hardback book (with colour throughout) is 224 pages long and contains over 430 photographs. It has received a multitude of enthusiastic press reviews, and those who have already bought copies have spoken highly of it.

The all-colour book, which was written in a 'user-friendly' style, for enthusiasts by an enthusiast who for many years has been passionate about these cars, was produced using very high quality 'heavyweight' materials. It was deliberately written, printed and published in England; indeed it was entirely 'Made in England', just like the cars to which it relates.

It contains comprehensive information in separate chapters on:
  • 1. History, specifications and performance.
  • 2. Character, driving and practicality.
  • 3. Buying.
  • 4. Maintenance/looking after your vehicle.
  • 5. MoT Test.
  • 6. Rustproofing.
  • 7. Modifications.
  • 8. Enjoying/having fun with your Austin.
  • 9. Restoration stories to inspire.
There are also three 'Appendix' sections:
  • 1. Identify your car.
  • 2. Specialist suppliers.
  • 3. Contemporary rival models from other manufacturers
(ISBN: 0954762908)

An ideal companion for your Austin A30/A35, or to read about these cars before you buy one. Either way, 'Enjoy Those Austins'! If you buy a copy I hope you will find it useful and enjoyable too.

A Brief Introduction

The object of the Club is to maintain as many A30 and A35 vehicles in good working order as is possible by helping, advising, encouraging and cultivating a spirit of friendship amongst owners and other interested people. Membership is therefore open to all owners and enthusiasts of the Austin A30 & A35 range of vehicles.

About The Club

The Club was formed by a small group of enthusiasts in 1970, which has grown over the years into an International Club with an active membership of over 1,100 members. Though the core of the Club consists of UK members, the Club has representatives in Japan, the Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Sweden and United States.

The Club is run on a day-to-day basis by a voluntary Committee of officers elected annually by the Club membership. The Committee meets a minimum of two times per year in addition to the Annual General Meeting held at the International Rally.

Across the UK, local Groups and contacts affiliated to the Owners' Club have evolved. Their members normally meet on a monthly basis, in addition to regional shows and social events. Each year, one of the local Groups hosts the International Rally. Latest Magazine

The Club publishes four high quality magazines a year, organises and rallies and stands at both national & regional shows, offers help and advice, maintains an extensive archive and is affiliated to the lobby group FBHVC on your behalf.

The following sections shows how the award winning club is organised and the places where we are represented. If you would like further information please do contact us.

The Club Committee

The Committee is made up of volunteers who undertake a range of roles in order to keep the club running. Places on the Committee are open to any member of the Club. Where several people stand for a post, a vote is held. The Club always has room for anybody who might wish to become more actively involved and prides itself on welcoming new members to an official capacity either nationally or at a more local level.

New roles open as members stand down or rotate to other jobs and are advertised in the club magazine. If you feel that you would like to become involved, but require more information or would perhaps like to gain some experience first please do contact us.

Local Group Support

Whilst Club is a national organisation, it strongly believes in the benefits of members being able to contact and help each other locally. By joining the national club we can put you in touch with a group near you and contribute some of your membership fee to the local organisation.

In some areas there may not be an official local group but the Club usually has members who are keen to help out and share their interest in all things Austin. We can put you in touch with a local contact when you join the Club.

Overseas Representation

Austin A30 and A35s were exported all over the world and still have an enthusiastic following in many other countries. The Club is proud of its strong links to overseas members and keeps a list of contacts abroad.

Club Spares Project

Club Spares Project was created to try to find reliable suppliers for those hard-to-find parts and even get them re-manufactured. It is funded by the Club from your membership fees and available to all paid-up Club Members. While it stocks some "generic" parts, they are primarily where we have found the quality on the open-market to be wanting, so have sourced a better part. But we don't supply everything. Many parts that are inter-changeable with other A-Series based vehicles are available from a number of sources. Club Spares concentrates on the parts that AREN'T easy to find. We can't produce everything though. It has to be economically viable to manufacture, stock and, importantly, cost-effective to you the buyers! For more information go to Club Spares under the Club Shop menu or click here.

Technical Support

Our Technical Information Officer is available to answer many more obscure questions about the A30 and A35 (as well as many, many more classics).

You also have contact with the entire membership via the website and Members' area of the forum giving you access to hundreds of years knowledge and information. Both the website and the forum contain areas where more advanced technical information can be accessed as part of your membership. Regular technical articles appear in the club magazines as well.

Vehicle Registrars

The role of our Vehicle Registrars is to collate information on the survival of our Austin models. Therefore they are always keen to know of any cars put back on the road, rediscovered after being hidden away, or perhaps of a rare variant seldom seen any more. The Registrars are split across various models or types: AS3, A30, A35, Countryman and Vans, Pick-ups, and Modified. Your Vehicle's Registrar contact details are in the Club magazines and available on the website.

DVLA Liaison

Liaison with the DVLA on behalf of members is managed and handled by a nomination committee member. Issues with re-registering a vehicle, number plate retention and general advise and guidance around DVLA forms and correspondence is available on request. Contact details can be found here.

FBHVC Representation

Representation of our club at the Federation of British Historical Vehicle Clubs is also an important role taken on by the Committee. This ensures that the "voice" of the club is heard when there are changes to legislation and laws around historic vehicles.
