Used Motorcycles For Sale: Ripley, Derby at Roy Jervis

After trading for some 70 years in Ripley, Roy Jervis Motorcycles have decided it's time to bow out gracefully and let a young and enthusiastic team take over its existing premises.

Started in the 50's by motorcycle racer Roy Jervis, the business has undertaken several changes of ownership over the years and was made a Limited Company in 1977.

Current owner Shaun has been at the shop since he left school in 1983 and feels that now is the right time for him to back off from the retail side of the industry. Shaun will continue to buy clean, low mileage bikes but will be supplying these directly into the trade for onward sale to the public through selected dealers and advertised on this site.

RWF Motorcycles, who are an established motorcycle business with a great reputation, will be taking over the premises. Roy Jervis have been working with Craig and Wayne from RWF for a few years now and they are confident that RWF will continue to offer the service people have come to expect from this establishment. Once settled, as well as bike sales, they will continue to offer MOT's and servicing as well as spares and service items, clothing etc.

To maintain continuity, Jon Batterham will continue on as Sales Manager and Alex Redfern will also be staying as Lead Technician. Director Ian "Biddy" Bax will be retiring after 27 years at Roy Jervis.

Over recent years Shaun and the team at Roy Jervis have built up an enviable reputation as one of the UK's premier suppliers of the best in late low mileage, classic Japanese and exotic motorcycles and they would like to thank all of their customers here in the UK and worldwide for their custom and for helping them to build the business to what it has become.
