    Studying Earth’s Poles

The second of NASA’s PREFIRE satellites is communicating with ground controllers after launching at 11:15 p.m. EDT on June 4. Data from these two shoebox-size cube satellites, or CubeSats, will better predict how Earth’s ice, seas, and weather will change in a warming world, providing information to help humanity thrive on our changing planet.

    Earth Information Center

For more than 50 years, NASA satellites have provided data on Earth's land, water, air, temperature, and climate. NASA's Earth Information Center allows visitors to see how our planet is changing in six key areas: sea level rise and coastal impacts, health and air quality, wildfires, greenhouse gases, sustainable energy, and agriculture.
