Eye Bach Choir was founded by Merlin and Ann Channon in 1974 and is one of Suffolk’s foremost choirs. Throughout 2024 the choir has been delighted to celebrate its 50th Anniversary Season with a special programme of works, many chosen from the early years of performing in Eye and across the East Anglian region. The repertoire of Eye Bach Choir covers the sixteenth to the twentieth century, although we of course honour J.S.Bach in our title. The choir has performed Byrd to Britten and Tippett to Bach, Handel and Mozart – to name but a few of the many eminent composers whose work we’ve had the pleasure to learn and perform over the decades.
We are always open to new members and warmly invite any enthusiastic choristers interested in joining our friendly sociable choir to get in touch. The choir rehearses weekly at Eye Town Hall, over three terms a year with a summer break. Learn more about the choir’s rich history here.
