Rose Hill Records

In October I’ll be releasing a double vinyl compilation of works from all my albums and EPs from 2006-2016 through Rosehill Records, and to mark that occasion, I’ll be holding two album launches at The Rose Hill later in the year (one for guitar, one for chamber works).

In the run-up to this, we’re re-releasing all of these albums and EPs on Spotify over the next few months.First batch of 3 guitar albums dropped yesterday (To Sleep, Nymph Suite & Other Stories, Dragon). You can check them out HERE

Thanks to all the people at Rosehill Records for being long-time supporters of my music in many ways, and for being such great friends. Thanks also to Philipp Ebeling for the new photos!

Noise Peddler @ Festival Of Ideas 10/06/21

Noise Peddler had the great pleasure of playing live in the Festival Of Ideas at Sussex Uni. The show was to a restricted audience in the ACCA, and was streamed live on Zoom. Here’s a video link to the show:

‘A Line Drawn In Water’ @ Wigmore Hall

It was a pleasure to have my piano piece ‘A Line Drawn In Water’ included in the Riot Ensemble’s recent performance at the Wigmore Hall on 18/02/21, performed by master of the ivories Adam Swayne. The concert is available to stream HERE for the next 30 days.

Noise Peddler open Rose Hill Associated Artists platform

Noise Peddler are delighted to be opening the Rose Hill Associated Artists platform with a video series of improvisations we recorded at the venue recently. These will be streamed from the Rose Hill FB page on Thurs 11th June 2020 @ 8-9pm. Looking ahead, we’ll be heading back to their studio space this Summer to start working on our debut EP, which is set to be released on Rose Hill Records.

Westworld Scoring Competition 2020 – Nimzo Studio Entry

Nimzo have had no gigs over lockdown, so we thought we’d try our hand at the Westworld Scoring Competition 2020, for kicks. Here’s what we came up with:

The Windermere Children

Nimzo Studio (myself and Jules Arthur) are super proud to have co-written the soundtrack to this BBC documentary late last year, with 11 of our scores on the bill – The Windermere Children – music aside, it’s genuinely worth checking out – the life experiences of these people is unimaginable, really. Monday 27th, BBC4, 22.30.

TiChan @ Nuit Blanche, Paris

Nimzo Studio have been working hard on the sound design for a collaborative installation with Magnum photographer Olivia Arthur and Philipp Ebeling. The resulting work, ‘TiChan’ – a cyclical 3-screen audio-visual installation – will be hosted at the Magnum Photos event at Mairie du 12e Arrondissement, Paris, on 5th October as part of Nuit Blanche. This work represents the first in a series of collaborative endeavours between NImzo Studio and Fishbar Studio, supported by Arts Council England. MORE DETAILS HERE.

Moulettes Australia Tour 2019

I spent 3 epic weeks in March this year touring with the Moulettes across Australia. We recorded a couple of tracks for a radio show in Melbourne which you can listen to here, or by clicking the image below.

Beatabet Residency @ The Rose Hill, 01/12/18

Over the last week I’ve been involved in the first Beatabet Residency at the Rose Hill, Brighton (even though they forgot my name on the poster…), in which 20 artists have been invited to collaborate on a night of new works, for performance on 1st Dec 2018 (this eve). I’ll be collaborating with musician and instrument designer Ed Briggs on a short work involving a symbiotic network of pedals, drum machines, guitars and plasticbagpipes. I’ll also be performing a live soundtrack to a short film clip, and there will be a whole host of weird and wonderful one-off projects taking place throughout the venue over the course of the evening. See you there?
