Campground FAQs
Is the campground open year round?
Yes! The campground is open year round. However, the summer season is very busy and we recommend making reservations in advance.
How far in advance can I make a reservation?
Reservations can be made a year in advance of the day of your arrival.
Do you provide shuttles to the park for campground guests?
Yes! Based on host availability, we are able to shuttle campers during the summer season from the campground store to the Visitor Information Center from the hours of 9 am to 5 pm daily.
Do you allow dogs?
The campground is pet-friendly. We do ask that all dogs remain on leashes and that you do your duty after your pet does theirs. A dog park is located at the campground and is available for use to Kentucky Horse Park campground guests, horse show competitors, and park guests.
How do I make a reservation?
Reservations may be made on ReserveAmerica.com. If you do not have Internet access, you may place a reservation by calling Reserve America at (888) 4KY-PARK or (888) 459-7275. Groups of 20 or more, please call (859) 259-4257 or (800) 370-6416. Maximum stay is 14 days unless approved by Campground management. Check in time is 2:00 p.m. Check out time is 12:00 noon. All guests are required to check in at the Campground store upon arrival before going to their site.

๐ดโจ Wrapping up Heritage Breeds Week at the Kentucky Horse Park with a spotlight on four extraordinary breeds:
๐ Akhal-Teke – Famous for their shimmering coats and incredible endurance, these "golden horses" are a true marvel. Aslan, our only Akhal-Teke at the horse park, was generously donated by Terri Fender of Osakis, MN.
๐ Lipizzan – Renowned for their elegance and classical dressage performances, these horses bring history and grace to our park. Willow, the only Lipizzan to call KHP home, is graciously on loan from Dawn Wietfeldt of Bardstown, KY.
๐ Brabant – Known for their strength and gentle demeanor, these horses are a testament to power and versatility. We`re lucky to have two Brabant horses at KHP! Ben, loaned from Ann Wheeland of Spring, TX, and Walker, loaned from Nicole Moore of Danville, KY.
๐ Old Kentucky Saddler – A historic breed with deep roots in our state, celebrated for their smooth gait and proud heritage. We have 4 Old KY Saddlers on loan to us from Rockin` R Farm, Rod, Trooper, Ren, and Starbuck

Quin can be found in the Big Barn or pulling the trolley around the Park.

Guests are also invited for an evening of yoga in conjunction with the KHP Run Walk Club. The class is led by local yogini and equestrian, Darcia Fantucchio and meets under the shade by the Man oโ War statue at 6:00 p.m. (weather permitting). All levels are invited and the class is free.
