Disney's upcoming animated feature Winnie the Pooh is available now for pre-order on
Amazon.com in a 3-disc Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo for $30.99 and in a 2-disc Blu-
ray/DVD combo in DVD packaging for $27.99. You can use a $7 off coupon when ordering.
This new Pooh movie was great. I'll definetely pre-order it. It should've been great if Disney also release The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh alongside this one.
I think the chances are good for the original Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh to be released alongside this one. The original has been out of print for a little while, and that's only usually in anticipation of a new release. The Disney 7-year moratorium I do not see applying here.
Pre-ordered. Hopefully the price comes down between then and now. Does anyone know that if the price comes down to say 24.99, will the $7 off coupon be applied to the lower price?
Also, I hate to do it, but I just paid $3 more for a blu-ray case... I know it comes with digital copy, but I have no use whatsoever for a digital copy, so I just spent $3 extra bucks to get it in a blu case... but I jsut couldn't stand having it in a DVD case evenj if it includes the blu-ray... my OCD would not let me live it down!
on the amazon page just above the Special Offers and Product Promotions it says Save $7.00 with this Coupon click the button and it will take it off your order when you do it
I was just gonna get the Blu-Ray+DVD combo 'til someone pointed out it was DVD casing.
Besides cheaper reasons, I actually prefer the Red borders. It matches so well with this movie. In fact I'm kinda tired of seeing blue in my collection as much as I love Blu-Ray. I'll most likely go for the 3-disc anyway if the DMR coupon only works with that.
People keep asking for the original "Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh"... wouldn't you rather have the original 3 unedited original shorts that were used for "Many Adventures..."? I would.
@cpstevens - that's for the benefit of those families who started their Disney movie collections with such titles as Aladdin, Cinderella, etc. - stricly a "unifomity" thing (as it was with those families in the 80's/90's who had the clamshell VHS cases).
I think Disney should have gone the Fantasia route on this one and bundled it with The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. It makes more sense than that The Fox and the Hound debacle at least. Hoping this happens with the Rescuers films when they are to be released...
I really want the Many Adventures to be released on blu ray. And like someone posted above if I would rather have the individual shorts... I actually prefer watching them as one long movie, but they could easily allow the option of watching the 3 shorts separately as they were shown theatrically with seamless branching! It would be nice and convenient if they released this with Many adventures as "GC Riot" suggested, but I do not see them doing that when this film is brand new and has never been released before... maybe for the re-release 7 years from now we will see a bundle of these two films, but for now, not a chance. I personally want them to release ALL the pooh films on blu-ray. They should package them too... Tigger movie with Piglet's big movie combo pack, and Heffalump movie packaged with Pooh's grand adventure. That is how they should do it.
