Several city-owned lots in North Kenwood and Bronzeville are up for sale this summer as part of a new initiative to spur housing development in the area.
One man was killed and another man was injured in a Woodlawn shooting on Wednesday afternoon.
“I’m in pursuit of beauty (in) everything I think about and develop,” said Robert Earl Paige, reflecting on his life’s work at a preview of his exhibition at the Hyde Park Art Center (HPAC) in early April.

Though Kenwood Academy’s boys water polo team was knocked out of the city playoffs yesterday by Whitney Young, its players and coach have a lot to be proud of.
Andre Lewis and Corey Morgan, coaches for the rivaling girls basketball teams of Kenwood and Hyde Park Academy, go way back.
The first three weeks of baseball season haven’t been kind to Kenwood Academy; the defending city champions are 2-6 so far, with both of those wins coming in the last week.
