The Second International Symposium on Culture, Creativity, and Interaction Design

Welcome to the The Second International Symposium on Culture, Creativity and Interaction Design (CCID2).

Held in conjunction with BCS HCI 2011, CCID2 is a two-day symposium (July 4-5, 2011) on cultural approaches to HCI and interaction design, emphasising critical theory, the arts, aesthetics, and felt experience.

In the past decade, HCI’s cultural research agenda has stabilized as a major subdomain of the field. Yet in spite of several workshops and a series of high profile papers, this subcommunity lacks a professional network infrastructure, widely disseminated reviewing standards, and so forth. Following on 2006’s First International Symposium on Culture, Creativity and Interaction Design (CCID), CCID2 will take stock of this agenda and develop strategies to improve its professional network infrastructure.
