a big well done to Virginia and Chris in not only completing the PBP but for doing it in very credible times of 74 and 76 hours.

here are a couple of photos of my notes. Trying to keep a track of what day it is as well as times the riders were through in purple. Distance between stops in dark green time schedules estimated in light green. It’s a work of art and a science of tracking if they’re up or down on what will be enough to do it in 90 hours. Remember the riders are riding and have no time to work out actual figures when riding so the data I have been passing on such as cumulative hours and time up or down on pace were crucial. 

Virginia has passed the last check point 64km to go. She passed it in a time of 72 hours and this will be well in the time of 90 hours.

with less than 100km to go it is looking like both riders Virginia and Chris will finish. They have had excellent weather today as it had not dropped below 25c all day and has been blistering sunshine.   

mortagne sports arena is a traditional track and field venue. It still has the 1940s stands and looks a really classy building
