LUBMAT was a common initiative between TEKNIKER and JOST Institute for Lubrication and Tribology. Both realized that, even though there were numerous international congresses dealing with the scientific approach for lubrication and wear, there were not any specific industrially focused. So that LUBMAT intends to address the industrial public without losing sight of the academic and scientific vision.

Thus, 2024 edition, in addition to Bureau Veritas, which joined the original organizers a few editions ago, incorporates Atten2, whose contribution will undoubtedly reinforce the interest in the conference among industrial attendees.

Similarly, IBERTRIB is a biennial symposium assembling researchers working on Tribology from Spain and Portugal, alternating the location between both countries.

Otherwise, LUBMAT is a well-established event that is in its 9th edition, while IBERTRIB celebrates its 12th edition.

Join the AM-Platform meeting!

The AM-Platform meeting will be held on May 15^th in Erfurt , Germany, in the framework on Rapidtech_3d event.

The Rapid.Tech 3D is the future-oriented pioneering event of the AM scene, and the 20th edition will take place from 14 to 16 May 2024. Conference info https://www.rapidtech-3d.de/en

A selection will be done for all the suggestions received.

Functionally Graded Materials (FGMs) are multi-phase materials in which the micro- and/or nanostructure is manipulated in order to provide a non-uniform distribution of the different phases. The intention is to build different spatial or even time-dependent properties throughout the mass of a single component, giving multi-functionality and sensitivity to various external solicitations.

This is a multi-disciplinary field of work in which scientists with backgrounds in engineering and physics, chemistry, biology, and medicine are involved. Furthermore, the interest of industrials in this challenging field is high because new applications are continuously being discovered and developed to join those already existing in biomedical, biomechanical, automotive, aerospace, mechanical, civil, nuclear, and naval engineering.

It will be a major forum with opportunities for networking, exchanging experiences, discussing, and enhancing state-of-the-art techniques and recent developments in FGMs.
