Cultigraphic® strikes again: Logo Design receives international recognition!

We are so excited to announce that one of our Logo Designs has been selected to be featured in the 3rd Edition of LogoLounge Master Library series, titled Shapes & Symbols. The release date for the book is July 2011. Pre-order the book here: http://www.amazon.com/LogoLounge-Master-Library-Shapes-Symbols/dp/1592536905/ref=sr_1_11?s=gateway&ie=UTF8&qid=1285354911&sr=8-11

This logo was designed for a Charleston, SC client, Bahia Weddings & Events, a company that specializes in planning destination weddings in Zihuatanejo, Mexico.

Surgery, Specialists & Spider Veins, Oh my!

We are so excited to announce the launch of a new website for Coastal Surgical Vascular and Vein Specialists! Last summer, we completed the branding of Coastal Surgical Vascular and Vein Specialists, as well as the Lowcountry Vein and Medical Spa, both located in the West Ashley area of Charleston, South Carolina. The launch of this website is an important development for this business, as it will enable patients to gather information about the Centers’ staff and procedures before appointments or when they may have questions. Patients will also be able to download important forms and submit contact information to schedule appointments.

The initial phase of design for the site began with five website layout options, and then after a few revisions, we chose the design you see now. Accessibility, simple navigation and legible script were some of the key elements to consider when designing this site. We also wanted patients to feel a sense of ease and relaxation as they browsed the site. Zafari, Inc. partnered with us and provided stellar back-end programming and Search Engine Optimization for the website as well.

Cultigraphic enjoys designing for all different kinds of companies and genres; but we have certainly recognized a small niche in medical advertising, promotion and design for the past few years with clients such as Mississippi Breast Center, the Susan G. Komen Lowcountry and Central Mississippi Affiliates, the Lowcountry Pregnancy Center, and Coastal Surgical to name a few.

Site Launch for Lowcountry Pregnancy Center

We are so excited to launch a freshly designed website for Lowcountry Pregnancy Center! If you haven’t read earlier posts, Lowcountry Pregnancy Center is a place for women to receive emotional, medical, informational and spiritual support in the event of a surprise pregnancy. Just a few of the services offered at LPC include free pregnancy tests, free limited ulstrasounds, and free counseling. The center also provides reading classes, parenting classes and a fatherhood program.

LPC’s main goals for their site were to have a place where women and men facing pregnancy related issues could go to for information and help – with no pressure or guilt. They wanted the site to be approachable, helpful and informative – as well as encouraging to those who find themselves in a difficult situation relating to unwanted or accidental pregnancies.

We used the bright, bold colors consistent with their branding, and a simple layout for easy navigation through their site. We included commercials, contact information and maps, links to their facebook page, and inspirational quotes from clients and others at the top of each page.

Charleston Your Home – Real Estate Redefined

Check out some of the work we did for Charleston Your Home, a boutique real estate agency specializing in the Charleston, SC real estate market. They wanted a modern, fresh look, so we designed a logo and business card for their agency. Some of the work is purely conceptual (the van), but have fun looking at it!

We are JA – Jackson Academy

With one of the Cultigraphic owners being a Jackson Academy alumna, we were thrilled when they asked us to help on several projects. The first was an opportunity to speak at the 2009 Career Day. We not only gave 7 presentations, but we did it all virtually (over the world wide web) through Apple iChat from sunny South Carolina. We spoke to students about their future and how Cultigraphic got its start. We think the students got a kick out of the virtual experience, because we sure did. Cultigraphic designed a fun brochure detailing the Career Day speakers’ affiliation with JA and job experiences.

We also helped with the annual Choral Music Department fundraiser “A Little Night Music,” designing invitations, posters, advertisements, billboards, programs, e-blasts, facebook pages, twitter pages, and logos. The event was a success and you can find the facebook pages and twitter pages by visiting the links below.

Jackson Academy also came to Cultigraphic when it was time to get the JA Campus Store up and running. They needed branding for the store, along with packaging and gift wrapping. We created a fun logo and simple packaging to be used in the store.

The entrance to the new Performing Arts Center was also a fun project. We were able to pull our sleeves up and create banners to hang right when you walk in. The idea behind the banners was to reflect what the building represents; an overall creative experience and space for the Jackson Academy community, artists, and professionals.

A New Generation of ABC’s – Memminger School of Global Studies

Cultigraphic® had the privilege to work with Memminger School of Global Studies, located in the heart of downtown Charleston.

We had a few strategic meetings with Anthony Dixon, the principal of the school, to discuss what would be the best direction for branding Memminger. The public school had struggled in recent years to keep up with the large influx of students from closed schools in the area, as well as coming up with the right identity, or niche to focus on.

We went through many options for the logo, as we tried to incorporate themes of learning, world cultures, childhood, friendship and energy. The chosen logo is a visual representation of the spirit of the school. The colors in the logo are the school colors, blue and gold.

The goal of creating a brand for this school was to create a sense of pride and accomplishment in attending students, as well as visual identification for faculty and staff to rally behind. We have great expectations for the future of Memminger!

Below are a few of the options we initially presented to Memminger on round 1. Take a look!

Face to Face Charleston – Where Social Networking Meets Professional Matchmaking

Cultigraphic® came on board with Face to Face Charleston to create a logo/look for Charleston’s hottest matchmaking agency.

We were excited to work on this project, as the company had a very unique idea: putting the fun back in finding that special someone! Personal chemistry is a MUST with Face to Face. While a single someone can place a personal profile on the company website, he or she can also attend mixers and other fun events, as well as benefitting coaching services and elite memberships for the more private, personalized experience (ever heard of Millionaire Matchmaker?).

While you don’t have to be a millionaire to find love with FacetoFace Charleston, you can experience lasting, adult relationships with like-minded people. It’s not only for romance – Face to Face can match you with potential business associates or just new friends with like interests.

Our logo is a reflection of the energy and connections that Face to Face is all about. The warm, welcoming colors and abstracted meeting people invoke a sense of anticipation, maturity, and fun that the company wanted to convey.
